Sponsorship Sales Manager - B2B Events

£45k-£55k base, £90k-£100k first-year OTE, £140k+ once the clients you win start coming back

London (Hybrid)

This is proper new business. You’ll find, pitch and close your own sponsors, earning commission on the first deal.

The difference is that you keep the client, earn again when they rebook and can cross-sell them into other events.

You’ll be selling sponsorship into invite-only events built around pre-arranged one-to-one meetings with senior, pre-qualified buyers.

These are not large exhibitions selling space and footfall. Each event brings together around 60 to 80 senior decision-makers and a carefully selected group of sponsors.

Packages range from £30k to £90k, averaging around £40k, with a typical sales cycle of six to eight weeks.

The phone matters. LinkedIn, email and marketing will support the process, but you’ll need to be comfortable opening conversations, pitching the opportunity and creating your own momentum.

The commission scheme is uncapped, tiered and back-paid, with rates of up to 14%.

This will suit you if:

  • You have at least two years’ B2B event sponsorship sales experience
  • You have experience selling sponsorship packages worth £20k+
  • You are used to closing business within a six to eight-week sales cycle
  • You personally own a new-business target and generate your own pipeline
  • You are confident using the phone to open and progress opportunities
  • You know your targets, personal billings and performance for the last two years

This won’t suit you if:

  • Most of your experience is account management or looking after inherited clients
  • You mainly sell low-value, high-volume products or delegate places
  • Your typical sales cycle is much longer than six to eight weeks
  • You rely largely on inbound leads, email or marketing-generated opportunities
  • You cannot separate your personal revenue from wider team or event figures

Hybrid working, two days per week in the Central London office.
