Job Description

Seeking an experienced SQL Server Platform Engineer to build and automate enterprise database platforms across on-premises and cloud environments, with a strong focus on infrastructure automation, scalability, and high availability

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build database platform components and automation solutions.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or PowerShell.
• Manage and optimize on-premises Microsoft SQL Server environments and cloud database platforms.
• Support Azure SQL PaaS, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and AWS database services.
• Build self-service database provisioning solutions for development and operations teams.
• Implement high availability, disaster recovery, and advanced database administration solutions.
• Collaborate with platform engineering teams and communicate technical solutions to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on Microsoft SQL Server experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong database platform engineering and automation experience beyond traditional DBA responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, or PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience with Azure SQL PaaS and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
• Experience with AWS database services and cloud architecture.
• Expertise in database high availability and disaster recovery.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical work clearly.
• Must be able to independently explain and demonstrate experience during interviews; resume details must accurately reflect hands-on expertise.
