About the Role We are a high-growth cybersecurity startup seeking a hands-on and proactive Senior Accountant to help build and scale our accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and has deep experience with NetSuite. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financial reporting, while also helping to establish processes and controls from the ground up and help strengthen our accounting operations as we scale. Position Summary The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the monthly close process and the integrity of the Company's financial reporting. This position is responsible for managing several complex accounting areas, including bank reconciliations, prepaids, lease accounting, intangible assets, debt, intercompany transactions, international accounting, and audit support. The ideal candidate brings strong NetSuite expertise, excellent analytical skills, and experience working in a multi-entity, global environment. This role requires a self-starter who can work independently while partnering effectively with distributed teams across multiple time zones. Key Responsibilities Month-End Close & Financial Reporting Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities in accordance with established deadlines. Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet analyses, and supporting schedules. Ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and compliant with U.S. GAAP. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability. Cash & Bank Reconciliations Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for domestic and international bank accounts. Investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner. Partner with Treasury and Accounts Payable teams to ensure the completeness and accuracy of cash activity. Prepaid Expenses Maintain prepaid expense schedules and record monthly amortization entries. Analyze expenditures to ensure appropriate accounting treatment. Reconcile prepaid balances and provide variance analysis as needed. Lease Accounting Administer office lease accounting under ASC 842 for corporate offices and coworking locations. Maintain lease schedules, ROU assets, and lease liabilities. Prepare monthly lease-related journal entries and reconciliations. Coordinate with internal stakeholders on lease renewals, modifications, and terminations. Debt Accounting Maintain debt schedules and record debt-related transactions. Prepare journal entries for interest expense, debt issuance cost amortization, and other financing activities. Support compliance reporting and lender information requests. Intercompany Accounting Record, reconcile, and eliminate intercompany transactions across multiple legal entities. Coordinate with international finance teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Prepare monthly intercompany reconciliations and support settlement processes. Support consolidation and elimination entries within NetSuite. International Accounting Support accounting operations and month-end close activities for international subsidiaries. Assist with foreign currency translation and consolidation activities. Partner with external advisors and local service providers to support statutory compliance requirements. Ensure transactions are properly reflected across global entities. Audit & Compliance Support annual financial audits, including preparing audit schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and ensuring timely completion. Assist with internal controls documentation and process improvements to strengthen financial governance. Systems & Process Improvement Leverage NetSuite to streamline accounting processes and improve reporting accuracy. Assist with automation initiatives and system enhancements. Develop and document accounting procedures that support a remote and scalable finance organization. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA‑eligible preferred. 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in SaaS, technology, or cybersecurity. Strong hands-on experience with NetSuite (required). Deep understanding of GAAP, including ASC 842. Experience with multi-entity, FX, and intercompany accounting. Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets. Self-starter with the ability to operate independently in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Preferred Experience Experience in cybersecurity, SaaS, or other high-growth technology companies. Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting and debt accounting. Experience supporting multinational entities and international accounting operations.
