While this position is eligible to work remotely if the successful candidate is located outside the Harrison, AR and Memphis, TN areas, the candidate must reside within 50 miles of a FedEx Freight location within the continental U.S.

If the successful candidate is located in the Memphis, TN or Harrison, AR areas, the candidate will be required to work a hybrid schedule, working three days per week in the office.

POSITION OVERVIEW:


Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) capabilities utilizing modern cloud-based data platforms. Serve as the technical leader responsible for MDM architecture, data quality, integration frameworks, governance enablement, and operational excellence. Provide leadership and mentorship to MDM team while partnering with business, data, and technology stakeholders to establish trusted, governed master data products that support enterprise-wide analytics, operational processes, and strategic transformation initiatives.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Lead the architecture, design, configuration, and implementation of Master Data Management solutions across multiple business domains.
  • Design and implement entity models, hierarchies, matching rules, survivorship strategies, stewardship workflows, and governance processes to ensure trusted master data assets.
  • Develop and maintain scalable data ingestion, synchronization, publishing, and distribution pipelines across enterprise source and target systems.
  • Architect and implement API-driven, event-based, and real-time integration solutions utilizing cloud-native technologies and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Lead enterprise data quality initiatives, including data profiling, rules implementation, monitoring, exception management, and remediation workflows.
  • Establish development standards, best practices, DevOps processes, and operational procedures supporting MDM platform reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Provide strategic technical leadership, coaching, and direction to engineers, developers, and administrators, fostering technical excellence, innovation, and accountability in the design, delivery, and operation of enterprise data management and integration solutions
  • Own the technical roadmap, platform strategy, and lifecycle management of enterprise MDM capabilities.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects, business stakeholders, product teams, and data governance organizations to align master data capabilities with strategic business objectives.
  • Design and oversee integration architectures supporting Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, operational applications, data products, and analytics platforms.
  • Develop reusable frameworks and patterns for data onboarding, data sharing, data stewardship, data quality management, and master data syndication.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security, privacy, governance, and regulatory requirements related to master data assets.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase data accuracy, consistency, usability, and operational efficiency across the enterprise.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry best practices related to MDM, data governance, data quality, and cloud data platforms.
  • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Management, or related field
  • Eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience designing and implementing enterprise data management, integration, and analytics solutions.
  • Five (5) years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting Master Data Management platforms.
  • Demonstrated expertise designing matching, survivorship, hierarchy management, stewardship, and governance workflows in an enterprise MDM environment.
  • Strong experience developing cloud-native data solutions within Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Foundry, Databricks, or comparable modern data platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Java, JSON, Spring, Python, and PySpark development.
  • Experience designing and implementing REST APIs, event-driven architectures, messaging frameworks, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling principles including conceptual, logical, and physical data design.
  • Experience establishing CI/CD pipelines, version control practices, and automated deployment frameworks using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, provide architectural guidance, mentor engineers, and establish engineering standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience developing and operating enterprise-grade data quality, governance, and data stewardship programs.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to business and executive audiences.

JOB CONDITIONS:

  • Must be able to travel as required to support business and project initiatives.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment.

Pay Transparency:


The compensation listed reflects the pay range or rate of pay reasonably expected for this posted position at the posted location(s). If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the pay information represents the minimum and maximum range for all levels. Actual pay is determined by job-related factors permitted by law and relevant to the position, such as experience, tenure, market level, pay at the location for this job, performance, schedule, and work assignment. Pay Range: $103,880.00 - $181,790.00

Illinois Pay Ranges: Effingham, Kankakee, Lincoln, Quincy, Rockford, Aurora $103,880.00 - $181,790.00; Bolingbrook, Chicago Heights, Des Plaines, Elmhurst, Forest View, Joliet, Schaumburg, Summit-Argo, Zion $103,880.00 - $181,790.00

New Jersey Job Postings: $103,880.00 - $142,835.00

This compensation range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting pay range in NJ. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay is determined by experience relative to the job, market level, specific location and other job-related factors permitted by law. Regular full & part-time employees (who complete 91 days of employment and work a minimum average of 12 hours per week) are eligible to enroll in medical, dental, and/or vision coverage, tuition reimbursement. Full/part-time employees who are age 21 are eligible for 401(k) after one month of employment.
