JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Overview:
The Senior Analyst, Revenue Cycle plays a key role in driving operational efficiency, issue resolution, and strategic decision-making through
deep analysis and interpretation of revenue-related data. This role is responsible for compiling, analyzing, and translating complex datasets
into actionable insights that support cross-functional teams in addressing reimbursement barriers, optimizing workflows, and improving
financial and operational performance.
By leveraging data from claims, accounts, and internal operations, the Senior Analyst identifies root causes of revenue cycle inefficiencies
and develops strategic recommendations that align with broader organizational goals. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a
process-improvement mindset, and a deep understanding of healthcare revenue cycle operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Leverage claims, accounts, and operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities across the revenue cycle
- continuum.
- Compile and synthesize large data sets into meaningful insights that drive decision-making, support business cases, and
- inform leadership strategy.
- Conduct root cause analyses on reimbursement delays, denials, and other revenue-impacting issues; recommend scalable
- solutions.
- Translate analytical findings into clear summaries, dashboards, and reports for key stakeholders across Finance, Revenue
- Cycle, and Operational teams.
- Collaborate with internal partners to streamline workflows, eliminate process bottlenecks, and support proactive issue
- resolution.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on revenue cycle operations, including claims adjudication, payment posting, denial trends,
- and payer behaviors.
- Create, refine, and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to account resolution, escalation workflows, and
- analytical best practices.
- Design and maintain performance dashboards and scorecards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify
- performance gaps.
- Support implementation of new technologies, tools, and reporting capabilities to enhance transparency and decision-making.
- Promote data-driven accountability across teams by identifying breakdowns in processes and collaborating on targeted
- remediation strategies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations, analytics, or reimbursement strategy.
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to synthesize findings into actionable recommendations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience working in or with electronic health record systems (preferably Epic).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, healthcare administration, data analytics, or other field relevant to - the essential duties.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to present complex findings to both technical and non-technical
- audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in diagnostics, medical devices, health systems, or payer/provider.
- Proficient in Epic, including Slicer Dicer for data analysis and insights.
- Familiarity with CARC/RARC codes, denial management, and claims workflows.
- Skilled in collaborating across departments to influence outcomes and solve complex issues.

The base pay for this position is
$78,000.00 – $156,000.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
