Role Overview The Senior IT Applications Analyst serves as a senior technical and functional expert responsible for the support, optimization, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, vendors, architects, infrastructure teams, and project teams to ensure reliable application performance, implement enhancements, resolve complex issues, and support long-term technology strategies. What You'll Do Lead the support and administration of enterprise applications, ensuring stability, availability, performance, and user satisfaction. Serve as the senior escalation point for complex production issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions. Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and translate business needs into technical solutions. Lead application enhancement initiatives through requirements gathering, design, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support. Manage vendor relationships, including issue resolution, enhancement requests, service-level performance, and strategic roadmap discussions. Coordinate application dependencies involving APIs, integrations, cloud services, infrastructure, security controls, and data exchanges. Perform advanced Microsoft SQL Server analysis, troubleshooting, data validation, and approved data updates while maintaining data integrity. Partner with architecture, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and development teams to align solutions with enterprise standards. Develop and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, process flows, and knowledge base articles. Lead system, integration, and user acceptance testing activities. Mentor junior analysts and contribute to application roadmaps, modernization efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with change management, audit, security, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field Minimum of 4 years of experience in application support, systems analysis, business applications, or related IT roles Experience supporting enterprise applications and vendor-managed solutions Advanced Microsoft SQL Server expertise, including query development, troubleshooting, data analysis, validation, and remediation Experience with APIs, web services, system integrations, ETL processes, and application interfaces Working knowledge of application development technologies such as .NET, C#, Java, REST services, or similar platforms Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, incident management, and service delivery practices Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills Preferred Experience with Health Solution Plus/Conduent Graduate degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline Healthcare payer, dental insurance, managed care, or regulated industry experience Experience supporting SaaS, cloud-based, or hybrid application environments Familiarity with ITIL principles and best practices Experience leading application enhancement projects and mentoring junior team members Knowledge of healthcare operations, claims, enrollment, provider management, or customer service platforms Work Environment Collaborative, cross-functional environment partnering with business and technical teams Opportunity to work with enterprise applications that directly support organizational operations and strategic initiatives Exposure to cloud technologies, integrations, vendor management, and modernization efforts Participation in leadership activities, mentoring, and strategic technology planning Why Join Liberty Dental Plan? Compensation In the spirit of pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $117,500 annually not including fringe benefits or potential bonuses. At Liberty, your final base salary will be determined by factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience. We are committed to pay equity and also consider the internal equity of our current team members when making final compensation decisions. Please note that the range listed represents the full base salary range for this role. Typically, offers are not made at the top of the range to allow for future salary growth.
