Sr. Architect Java - Agentic AI

Job Summary

We are looking for an Expert-Level Java Agentic AI Engineer to design, develop, and deliver scalable enterprise applications powered by Agentic AI and Generative AI. The role combines hands-on Java engineering, AI agent development, system design, and enterprise solution architecture. You will work with business and technology stakeholders to build production-ready AI solutions that integrate intelligent agents with enterprise systems, APIs, and distributed applications.

Required Experience

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with strong hands-on expertise in Java and enterprise application development.

• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, REST APIs, and enterprise integrations.

• Hands-on experience building Agentic AI applications using Java-based frameworks or integrating AI agent frameworks with Java applications.

• Experience with LLM integration, prompt engineering, tool calling, function calling, and structured outputs.

• Experience building AI agents capable of planning, reasoning, executing tasks, and interacting with external tools and enterprise systems.

• Strong understanding of multi-agent systems, agent orchestration, workflow automation, and state management.

• Experience with frameworks and technologies such as Spring AI, LangChain4j, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or similar agentic AI frameworks.

• Experience integrating LLMs through APIs such as Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Amazon Bedrock, or Google Vertex AI.

• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, vector databases, and enterprise knowledge retrieval.

• Strong understanding of event-driven architecture, distributed systems, messaging platforms, and asynchronous processing.

• Experience with databases, application security, authentication, authorization, and secure API integrations.

• Experience deploying and operating applications on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Preferred

• Experience building production-grade Agentic AI and multi-agent applications for enterprise use cases.

• Experience with Spring AI, LangChain4j, MCP (Model Context Protocol), and agent-to-agent communication patterns.

• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar event-driven messaging technologies.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native application development.

• Experience with AI evaluation, observability, guardrails, responsible AI, and LLM security.

• Experience with Python for AI integrations, prototyping, or supporting AI/ML workflows.

• Experience with GitHub Enterprise, AI coding agents, and Spec-Driven Development (SDD).

• Strong understanding of system design, design patterns, scalability, reliability, and performance optimization.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on Java development experience with Spring Boot and microservices.

• Experience designing and developing Agentic AI applications integrated with enterprise systems.

• Strong understanding of LLMs, RAG, tool calling, agent orchestration, and multi-step AI workflows.

• Experience with REST APIs, event-driven architecture, distributed systems, and enterprise integration patterns.

• Ability to design secure, scalable, and maintainable AI-powered applications.

• Strong problem-solving, system design, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with AI coding agents and Spec-Driven Development (SDD).

• Experience with GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI-assisted development tools.

• Experience with MCP servers, tool integration, and agent interoperability.

• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, cloud infrastructure, and platform engineering.

• Experience with automated testing, observability, CI/CD, and production monitoring for AI applications.

• Experience leading technical design discussions and translating business requirements into production-ready AI solutions.
