We are looking for a Senior Contract Administrator who will report to the Project Controls Manager to functionally support the Project Control Department. They will primarily provide commercial and contractual support to the ANZ Legal & Commercial function across a portfolio of projects, programs, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. The role is responsible for supporting contract lifecycle management, contractual compliance, commercial administration, reporting, risk identification, and change management activities. Working closely with Commercial Managers, Legal Counsel, Project Managers, Project Control teams, Procurement teams, and operational stakeholders, the position ensures contracts are accurately administered, obligations are tracked, commercial information is maintained, and contractual risks are identified and escalated in a timely manner. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, commercial acumen, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to operate independently across multiple concurrent priorities. Key Responsibilities These are the tasks and duties expected to be performed in the role: Administer a portfolio of client contracts, supplier agreements, and subcontract arrangements for ANZ operations. Support the preparation, review, execution, storage, and ongoing management of contractual documentation. Develop and maintain accurate and current contract registers, obligations registers, variations logs, and commercial records. Track key contract milestones, deliverables, renewals, expiry dates, insurance requirements, and compliance obligations. Review contract terms and identify potential commercial, operational, legal, or compliance risks for escalation. Prepare, issue, and track contractual notices, correspondence, amendments, variations, and extension requests in accordance with contract requirements. Support Commercial Managers and Legal Counsel with contract reviews, negotiations, and administration activities. Support Commercial Managers and Project Control Leads with cost control and related administration activities. Monitor change management processes and maintain records relating to variations, claims, and commercial adjustments. Assist project teams with contract interpretation and administration requirements while ensuring alignment with company governance processes. Prepare regular commercial and contractual reports, dashboards, and status updates for management and project stakeholders. Conduct quality assurance reviews of contractual documentation and commercial records to ensure completeness and compliance. Support audits and compliance reviews by providing accurate records and evidence of contractual management activities. Identify opportunities to improve contract administration processes, reporting capabilities, and document management practices. Interface with project teams, procurement personnel, legal teams, commercial managers, project control leads and other business stakeholders to ensure effective contract and commercial administration outcomes. Ensure contractual information is managed in accordance with company policies, governance requirements, and confidentiality obligations. Leadership Performs complex commercial and contract administration assignments requiring independent judgement and minimal supervision. Demonstrates initiative in identifying contractual risks, compliance issues, and process improvement opportunities. Work is reviewed periodically for quality, accuracy, and achievement of business objectives. Provides guidance and mentoring to junior Contract Administrators and commercial support personnel as required. Supports onboarding, training, and knowledge transfer activities for new team members. Promotes consistency, standardisation, and best practices across contract administration processes. Effectively manages competing priorities across multiple projects, clients, and stakeholders. Builds strong relationships with ANZ-based stakeholders while operating within a distributed global delivery model. These are the skills, tools, and knowledge areas required to perform the role effectively: Advanced understanding of contract administration principles across client contracts, subcontracts, supplier agreements, and framework agreements. Experience supporting the full contract lifecycle including contract creation, execution, administration, change management, renewal, extension, and closeout. Strong capability in reviewing contractual terms and identifying commercial, operational, and compliance risks. Ability to maintain contract registers, obligations registers, risk registers, and commercial reporting tools. Experience administering contractual notices, variations, extensions of time, claims, and change requests. Strong analytical and reporting skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, and contract management systems. Knowledge of commercial governance frameworks, approval workflows, delegation authorities, and document control principles. Understanding of procurement and subcontract management practices within project delivery environments. Ability to monitor contractual obligations, key milestones, deliverables, and compliance requirements. Strong written communication skills with experience preparing contractual correspondence, reports, summaries, and management briefings. Ability to analyse contract data and provide meaningful commercial insights to support decision making. Familiarity with legal and commercial terminology and ability to work effectively with internal legal counsel. Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, process standardisation, and administration best practices. Must be willing to work fixed night shift and 3 days onsite per week.
