WHAT YOU WILL DO The Sr. Corporate Accounting Associate is a contributing member of the Corporate Accounting team responsible for supporting the Company’s monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, with a focus on assigned debt-related accounting activities. This role prepares journal entries, performs account reconciliations, supports the accuracy of assigned general ledger accounts, and assists with compliance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and internal control requirements. This role partners with cross-functional teams to research variances, help resolve accounting issues, support audits and assist with special assignments and projects within the Accounting & Tax department. HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Prepare and record daily and monthly journal entries related to Cost of Funds, debt instruments, derivatives, and hedge accounting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and Company accounting policies. Activities include interest expense accruals and settlements, debt principal paydowns, amortization of debt issuance costs, and related derivative and hedge accounting transactions. Perform monthly account reconciliations, investigate reconciling items and unusual variances, identify root causes of discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution of outstanding issues in accordance with Company policies and internal control requirements. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including but not limited to, variance analysis, clarifying unusual journal entries, intercompany tie-outs, and support for the quarterly and annual financial statement footnotes and disclosures. Provide support for internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules, documentation, and responses to audit requests; assist with ad hoc accounting projects as assigned. Qualifications WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE Minimum 4–6 years of relevant experience in general ledger accounting, financial close, reconciliations, or related corporate accounting activities. Experience in captive finance preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and U.S. GAAP. Working knowledge of financial close processes, account reconciliations, and internal control requirements. Ability to analyze financial data, identify variances, and research accounting issues. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to manage and reconcile large datasets. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors. High attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
