Job Description - Supervisor Accounting, Corporate Accounting (240002YN) Job Description Supervisor Accounting, Corporate Accounting - ( 240002YN ) Description Job Summary Under the limited supervision of the Controller ; will provide financial expertise and leadership including planning, development, and monitoring of annual hospital capital and operating budgets, cost accounting; investment and portfolio performance analysis. Conceptualizes, develops and implements the processes and tools used to develop the annual operating and capital budget. Employs advanced quantitative / qualitative analytical techniques: financial, economic and not-for-profit reinvestment theory; with long-range comprehensive perspective when preparing, distributing and presenting recurring financial analysis and ad-hoc reports at the request of senior management. Responsible for detailed review of Tower’s Radiology month-end results. Works with departments to understand operational factors that affected profitability. Assists Controller on internal controls improvements internally and/or across the organization. Supervises project teams. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital. Qualifications Baccalaureate degree in Accounting, Business Management, Finance or related field; seven (7) years of progressive financial management experience, with at least two (2) years in a lead, supervisor, or manager role. Master's degree preferred (MBA or related). Experience in a financial budgeting analyst role developing, conducting and implementing financial/economic analysis, reinvestment portfolio monitoring, strategic capital budgeting plans and data models. Strong analytical, organizational, communication and presentation skills are required. Proficiency with computer-based analytical and reporting tools such as spreadsheet and database applications.
