Job Description:

Role Summary:

The Sr. Director, Urology Services provides enterprise-wide leadership for urology service line operations across the OneOncology network. This role is responsible for defining strategic direction in partnership with Chief Medical Officer, OneUrology, advancing the long-term vision for urology services, driving operational excellence, ensuring regulatory and quality compliance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across the organization.

This role serves as the administrative and operational dyad partner to the Chief Medical Officer, OneUrology, pairing physician clinical leadership with operational execution to advance the urology platform. Together, the dyad is jointly accountable for the strategy, growth, quality, and evolution of urology services across the OneOncology network. The Sr. Director translates the CMO's clinical vision into scalable operational execution and, in turn, brings operational insight to inform clinical strategy and platform priorities.

The Sr. Director will collaborate closely with Market and Practice Leadership, Physician and Medical Directors, other clinical and operational MSO leadership, and key cross-functional stakeholders to deliver operational expertise, strategic guidance, and scalable solutions that enhance clinical quality, optimize service line performance, and support organizational growth. This leader will play a critical role in aligning urology operations with OneOncology's broader strategic objectives while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered urologic care across the network.

The Sr. Director, Urology Services reports to the Chief Medical Officer, OneUrology, as dyad partner, with a secondary reporting relationship to the Vice President, Clinical Innovation / Clinical Operations, and serves as a key member of the OneOncology Clinical Operations leadership team. This role may be based in Nashville, TN, or remotely for candidates located near a major airport to support travel requirements and enterprise-wide engagement across the OneOncology network.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Platform Growth

  • Serve as the operational dyad partner to the Chief Medical Officer, OneUrology, jointly setting and advancing the strategy, vision, and priorities for the urology platform.
  • Support the growth and evolution of urology across the OneOncology platform, advancing service line development, new capabilities, and the maturation of urologic care models network-wide.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive enterprise-wide urology services strategy aligned with OneOncology's organizational vision, growth objectives, and long-term operational priorities.
  • Lead and oversee urology service line expansion, consolidation, standardization, and modernization initiatives to enhance scalability, operational efficiency, and service excellence across the network.
  • Evaluate market trends, emerging clinical models, industry innovations, and competitive dynamics (e.g., advanced prostate cancer care, in-office ancillaries, radiation, and pathology integration) to identify and advance strategic opportunities that support platform growth and clinical advancement.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership, regional operations leaders, and other cross-functional stakeholders to drive strategic visioning, service line development, M&A and practice integration efforts, and new market expansion strategies.

Operational Support

  • Provide enterprise-wide operational leadership and support for urology services across the OneOncology network, fostering consistency in performance, operational efficiency, quality outcomes, and service delivery.
  • Develop and implement standardized operating models, care pathways, and best practices while maintaining appropriate flexibility to accommodate regional, market, and practice-specific needs.
  • Partner with regional operations leaders, as well as practice and physician leadership to establish, monitor, and optimize performance metrics, clinical workflows, access and scheduling models, staffing models, and resource utilization to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead operational scalability initiatives to support organizational growth, increasing patient volumes, evolving clinical demands, and the expansion of new urologic services and ancillary capabilities.

Quality, Compliance, and Regulatory Leadership

  • Support urology service line compliance with all applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Maintain and enhance enterprise-wide quality management and clinical governance frameworks that promote accuracy, reliability, patient safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Foster a culture of quality, patient safety, accountability, and regulatory excellence across all urology practice sites and ancillary services.

Ancillary Services & Care Integration

  • Coordinate the integration of urology-related ancillary services—including laboratory, pathology, imaging, radiation, and advanced therapeutics—to deliver comprehensive, coordinated care across the network.
  • Partner with Radiation and Imaging, Laboratory Services, Pharmacy, and other service line leaders to align urologic care pathways with enterprise clinical strategy.
  • Support the development and expansion of in-office ancillary and value-based care programs that improve outcomes and operational performance.

Performance Management

  • Contribute to financial and performance discussions with the CMO, OneUrology, and market and practice leadership, providing operational input rather than holding direct P&L ownership.
  • Support cost-awareness and resource optimization efforts while ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance, and service delivery are maintained.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators—including volumes, utilization trends, access metrics, and quality outcomes—to inform operational improvements and platform growth.

Technology, Innovation & Data

  • Support the adoption of clinical information systems, EHR optimization, digital health, and analytics platforms that advance urologic care and the provider and patient experience.
  • Partner with IT, Informatics, and Data Analytics teams to strengthen interoperability, reporting, and dashboarding capabilities across the service line.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging clinical technologies and operational innovations to drive quality, efficiency, scalability, and clinical excellence.

Talent Development and External Relations

  • Build and lead a high-performing team to provide support to all regions and practices within the urology service line.
  • Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve, alongside the CMO, OneUrology, as a primary point of contact for urology services with internal stakeholders, physician leaders, regulators, and strategic partners.
  • Represent the organization in industry forums, conferences, advisory boards, and clinical governance discussions.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned to help drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.

Required or Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare, business, clinical, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in clinical operations, service line management, and strategic initiatives, preferably within urology, oncology, or a multi-site specialty practice environment, including experience leading enterprise-level or platform-wide initiatives.
  • Advanced degree in a healthcare or business-related discipline (e.g., MHA, MBA, MSN) preferred.
  • Experience with multi-site or MSO operations, practice integration, and value-based care models strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% as needed.

Essential Competencies:

  • Strong critical thinking capabilities with the ability to translate complex clinical concepts into scalable operational solutions.
  • Extensive knowledge of urology or specialty practice operations, clinical workflows, and ancillary services.
  • Advanced computer proficiency with strong data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Proven ability to lead enterprise-wide initiatives in highly complex and ambiguous environments.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in staff development, team building, conflict resolution, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA standards and all applicable accreditation and regulatory requirements.
  • Reliable attendance is an essential function of the role.
