🎯 Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Sr Java/Svelte Engineer to join a Content Engineering team supporting digital products and platforms across Music, Books, and Podcasts.

This role requires strong hands-on expertise across Java, React, Svelte, and Cassandra, combined with an AI-forward engineering mindset. The ideal candidate is an experienced full stack engineer who can build scalable backend services, modern frontend applications, and data-intensive solutions while leveraging AI tools to improve engineering productivity.

🛠️ MUST-HAVE Technical Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Java.
• Strong hands-on experience with React.
• Strong hands-on experience with Svelte.
• Hands-on experience with Cassandra.
• Strong Full Stack Software Engineering experience.
• Experience designing and developing scalable applications and backend services.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and engineering best practices.
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD practices.
• Advanced English communication skills.

🤖 MUST-HAVE AI-Forward Experience

AI is a key part of the team's engineering approach. Candidates must demonstrate experience using AI-powered development tools to improve productivity and engineering efficiency.

• Hands-on experience with Claude is required.
• Experience using AI tools for coding, debugging, testing, and development tasks.
• Ability to effectively review, validate, and improve AI-generated code.
• Demonstrated ability to incorporate AI into daily software engineering workflows.

💻 Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full stack applications.
• Develop backend services and APIs using Java.
• Build modern frontend applications using React and Svelte.
• Design and work with Cassandra-based data solutions.
• Participate in technical architecture and design discussions.
• Troubleshoot and optimize application performance and scalability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and delivery.

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer.
