The Senior Lead Technical Knowledge Consultant is the owner of the technical knowledge ecosystem responsible for converting field experience, product expertise, and organizational intelligence into scalable capabilities that improve seller performance and accelerate revenue growth.
In this role you will be responsible for developing, managing, and scaling technical knowledge assets that enable consistent, effective customer engagement across Lumen's technical sales organization. You will coordinate and facilitate live webinars for the technical seller, ensure the accuracy of new and existing technical training and curate external general technical training resources which can be utilized by the technical seller. In addition, the Sr Lead Technical Knowledge Consultant will oversee the internal peer to peer technical forums, contribute to new hire training and publish technical updates to the technical seller community.
This role serves as a strategic knowledge leader, translating technical expertise, field insights, and business priorities into reusable content, learning resources, best practices, and knowledge systems that improve technical seller readiness and organizational effectiveness. The role partners closely with Product, Technical Sellers, Operations, Enablement, and subject matter experts to ensure institutional knowledge is captured, maintained, and leveraged across the business.

Knowledge Management & Content Strategy
- Curate and maintain the technical knowledge library driving content quality and consistency across playbooks, reference materials, and best-practice documentation.
- Establish standards and governance processes for content creation, review, publication, and lifecycle management.
- Ensure technical information remains accurate, current, accessible, and aligned with business objectives.
- Provide lifecycle support of technology education content to train the technical seller in order to maintain proficiency on Lumen products, processes and solutions
- Regularly author and publish technical product and solution updates to the technical seller community
Technical Enablement
- Support onboarding, training, certification, and continuous learning initiatives for technical sales professionals.
- Identify knowledge gaps and create scalable solutions that improve readiness and productivity.
- Collaborate with technical subject matter experts to translate complex concepts into consumable learning materials.
Organizational Knowledge Capture
- Collect and synthesize field insights, operational lessons learned, and product-related knowledge.
- Convert recurring challenges, customer trends, and technical expertise into reusable organizational assets.
- Promote knowledge sharing and adoption across teams and stakeholders.
Business Partnership & Program Leadership
- Partner with Product, Technical Sales, Operations, Education, and Enablement organizations to align knowledge initiatives with strategic priorities.
- Lead cross-functional projects focused on improving knowledge accessibility, usability, and business impact.
- Support organizational initiatives that improve seller effectiveness and customer outcomes.
Knowledge Systems & Innovation
- Support the development and adoption of modern knowledge management platforms and AI-enabled solutions.
- Optimize content for discoverability, searchability, and integration with digital knowledge tools.
- Measure and report on knowledge utilization, adoption, and effectiveness metrics.
What We Look For in a Candidate
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in technical sales, consulting, architecture, enablement, knowledge management, or related technology functions.
- Demonstrated ability to develop technical content and learning programs for technical audiences.
- Strong technical aptitude across networking, cloud, security, managed services, and solution based selling
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and program leadership skills.
- Experience driving cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders across multiple organizations.

Compensation
| This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors. Location Based Pay Ranges $105,786 - $141,047 in these states: AL AR AZ FL GA IA ID IN KS KY LA ME MO MS MT ND NE NM OH OK PA SC SD TN UT VT WI WV WY $111,074 - $148,099 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI $116,364 - $155,152 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA Lumen offers a comprehensive package featuring a broad range of Health, Life, Voluntary Lifestyle benefits and other perks that enhance your physical, mental, emotional and financial wellbeing.
