Tanaq Management Services (TMS) delivers professional, scientific, and technical services and information technology (IT) solutions to federal agencies in the health, agriculture, technology, and other government services. About the Role


We are seeking a Sr. Management Operations Consultant (Part-time) to support our Federal Government customer. This position will assist with space management, facility coordination, and administrative supply oversight, focusing on efficient use of office space and ensuring necessary supplies are available for agency operations.


The Sr. Management Operations Consultant will blend facility planning with administrative supply management, ensuring that agency offices are well-equipped, efficiently used, and compliant with operation and regulatory requirements.


This is a hybrid remote position based in Atlanta, Georgia. This position is contingent upon contract award.


Responsibilities


Space Planning & Management

  • Assess space needs and layout requirements for agency offices and facilities.
  • Develop and implement space utilization strategies aligned with agency mission and operational needs.
  • Coordinate with architects, designers, and facility staff to optimize office layouts, ensuring compliance with safety, accessibility, and ergonomic standards.
  • Oversee office moves, renovations, and expansions, including furniture and equipment placement.
  • Maintain accurate floor plans and space utilization reports.

Office Supplies & Procurement Support

  • Manage procurement of administrative supplies, equipment, and related services.
  • Ensure timely availability of essential office materials and maintain inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with vendors and agency purchasing processes to meet supply needs cost effectively.

Administrative & Coordination Functions

  • Prepare reports, floor plans, and space utilization analyses for management review.
  • Communicate with agency leadership, employees, and external vendors to address space and supply needs.
  • Maintain compliance with federal property, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements


Required Skills and Experience

  • Prior experience and knowledge of industry and government to ensure compliance with federal standards and agency policies by performing similar senior level work at CDC is required.
  • Prior space planning, facility management, or administrative supply coordination experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of proven experience delivering cost-effective, high-quality space and supply solutions as well as project management.
  • Proficiency in CAD, Microsoft Office and facility management software.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, vendor coordination, budgeting, compliance and cross-functional communication.
  • Ability to maintain smooth supply chain processes for office materials.
  • Superior customer interface skills with emphasis on customer communication.
  • Team oriented with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with special attention to detail in documentation.
  • Ability to obtain government clearance required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.


Education and Training

  • Bachelor’s degree required.


Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • May need to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
