Our dedicated and compassionate employees are driven by a common mission: To deliver the cures of tomorrow to the people who need them today. ** This is a Fully Remote Opportunity within the United States** Position Summary: The Senior Manager, Cyber Security Operations Center will be responsible for leading the team responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity incidents, ensuring the security and integrity of City of Hope’s information assets. Key responsibilities include: Cyber threat hunting Incident response Governance of Managed Detection and Response team Coordination with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity processes Requirements management for system reporting coordinating with Cyber engineering Management of outside threat feeds and relationships (e.g. H-ISAC) Red/Blue/Purple team engagements Break-the-glass vulnerability management program As a successful candidate, you will: Cyber Defense Operations Leadership: Lead and manage the daily operations of the Cyber Defense Operations Center (CDOC), ensuring the 24/7 monitoring and response to security incidents. Develop and implement strategies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the CDOC. Incident Detection and Response: Oversee the identification, analysis, and response to cybersecurity incidents, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Lead the incident response team to mitigate threats, minimize impact, and ensure a swift recovery. Security Tool Management: Manage and optimize cybersecurity tools and technologies used in the CDOC to ensure timely and accurate threat detection. Stay informed about the latest advancements in cybersecurity tools and recommend improvements to enhance the security posture. Team Management and Development: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of cybersecurity professionals within the CDOC. Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities to ensure the team remains at the forefront of cybersecurity practices. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Business Continuity, risk management, and legal, to ensure alignment of CDOC activities with overall cybersecurity objectives. Communicate effectively with executive leadership, providing regular updates on the status of cybersecurity operations and incidents Develop and manage Cyber Sec’s contribution to the City of Hope’s Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plan Evaluate and test Cyber Security controls relative to applications and leads the development, enforcement, and maintenance of policies, procedures, measures, and mechanisms to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information. Will partner with constituents throughout the company to achieve strategic goals and ensure the appropriate balance is achieved between risk and controls. Assists the Cyber Director, department directors, division and program managers with the development and implementation of system-wide programs, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws and agency regulations. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Qualifications Your qualifications should include: Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Minimum Experience: Five (5) years of experience in information security in a large healthcare provider environment with revenues exceeding $10 billion. Three (3) years of experience leading and managing a Cyber Defense Operations Center or a similar information security operations team with a minimum span of control of at least eight members. Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, threat intelligence, and incident response best practices. Experience with security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and threat intelligence platforms. Preferred Education: Master’s degree Pref. Certification/Licensure: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are highly desirable.
