The Role: The Sr. Manager, Procurement Operations is responsible for the Leadership and end to end performance management of Direct Materials (Packaging and Chemicals) and Contract Manufacturing Vendors. The Scope of this role includes leading a team of 4-5 people that manages each of the different spend categories, putting in place the necessary tools and processes enabling cross functional collaboration to ensure delivering targets on different dimensions such as Customer Service, Quality, Innovation, Value Creation and Sustainability in alignment with Procurement Category Strategies. This role owns and drives the Vendor Performance Management Program cross-functionally for Direct Material and Contract Manufacturing Vendors. The main responsibility of the Procurement Operations team is to secure the supply of material/services and deliver Customer Service by proactively identifying, resolving and escalating delivery issues as they arise to ensure on time and full delivery, case fill rate and quality targets while fostering strong Vendor relationships. What You Will Do: Customer Service Responsible for Performance and Results of all Direct Materials and Contract Manufacturing Vendors. In charge of Leading and Driving Vendor Performance Management Program as a whole, across the different Spend Categories. Build, implement and optimize Vendor Management through continuous improvement. Implement and lead the Procurement processes and cross-functional collaboration with the vendors as well as Planning, Quality, and other internal stakeholders to meet the desired OTIF (On Time & In Full), CFR (Case Fill Rate), and Quality targets. Establish strong, collaborative, relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure ongoing alignment. Proactively assess current supply strategies to ensure they meet the Operation needs, and initiate improvements with suppliers and stakeholders to increase supply chain reliability Responsible for Performance and Results of Suppliers. Sourcing Support Drives Procurement Operations team engagement on identifying and executing Value Creation improvement projects. Secure Cost Savings projects related to Vendors are implemented on time to meet company targets. Owns Procurement Processes Improvement and Implementation. Identify needs and complete analysis for designated materials. Ensure contract terms and conditions are executed (pricing, rebates, payment terms, incoterms, etc.) per the agreed timing across Spend categories. Lead the implementation and execution of Sourcing Strategies defined by Procurement Category team. Ensures the Sourcing Strategies implemented by Procurement Category team are robust and adequate for meeting operation and business needs. Ensures Procurement Operations engagement and influence on supplier negotiations in alignment with Procurement Category Team Support new supplier identification, selection, and qualification activities across Spend Categories. Lead and Drive as the Procurement Leader and representation on New Product development and commercialization forums and prioritization process. Processes Improvement and Capabilities Ensure continuous identification and implementation of process improvements within Procurement and drive implementation with other cross-functional areas to minimize cost, reduce waste, and increase speed. Support Company Sustainability initiatives and targets. Constantly assess Procurement processes with a continuous improvement focus. Participate in the development/implementation of companywide standard processes. Compensation Range: $120,000-$145,000 Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job related skills, experience, location, and relevant education or training. What You Will Bring: Bachelor’s Degree required 7+ years of experience in or with Supply Chain or related (i.e. Materials Manufacturing, Contract Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, Planning Quality, R&D, Packaging Engineering, Logistics) in relevant business categories with experience managing teams and cross-functional team collaboration managing large spend categories. Proven track of record successfully leading teams (3+ People) with different levels of skills and driving results in different dimensions (Service, Cost, New Products, Capabilities) in a multi-category environment Proven organizational skills and ability to perform managing teams under pressure and competing priorities. Strong analytical, problem-solving and conflict management skills. Process improvement proficiency, e.g., root cause understanding, lean methodology, etc. Ability to work on a high-performing team in collaborative environment. Influencing Skills at a senior level, ability drive decision making and alignment on cross-functional topics with other department leaders. Quantitative/qualitative analysis, including business process metrics & measures linking to business KPIs. Strong Communication and Presentation Skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and make informed decisions, strong critical thinking. Good Level Proficiency on MS Office, Outlook and Excel. Proven track of record of achieving results in a cross functional environment.
