What you’ll be doing


You’ll be a key part of an innovative, “first to market” technology culture, contributing to CIBC’s digital transformation. As a Sr. Manager, Production Application Support you will join CIBC’s AESP department to provide technical expertise for small to medium, complex projects/initiatives as they relate to the implementation and support of application and/or infrastructure technology in a multi platform environment. The successful candidate for this role may be on call at times, and required to be accessible 24/7.

You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.


How you’ll succeed


  • People Leadership- Lead and coach a high performing group team of individuals. Direct, motivate, and develop your team, maximizing their contributions and professional growth. Share knowledge and collaborate to come up with effective solutions to problems.
  • Relationship Management- Work closely with clients and business partners to develop, test, and implement application program. Impact and improve the business by advising application owners on the technology possibilities and requirements.
  • Understanding Requirements- Track and analyze operating environment for specified services and implement corrective actions as needed. Work with clients and internal partners to determine, negotiate and manage services to the agreed standards. Monitor service levels to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend appropriate solutions.

Who you are


  • You can demonstrate 9 years experience in. Senior Manager /Consultant in development/providing application support in DataPower or any integration technologies and have experience in XML/XALAN/API Gateway and have experience with defining, implementing changes to, and supporting a production applications. You have experience / familiarity with majority of the following technology environments: CaaS, scripting (shell); Oracle Databases; experience with Autosys and Feedhub, Version Control Software, Agile and DevOps concepts, DataPower, Jenkins, Github. You have strong knowledge of: Microsoft Windows, Linux RedHat and Unix Solaris operating systems; Basic Network Troubleshooting; Secure File Transfer protocols. It's an asset if you have knowledge of Dynatrace, Splunk and devops tools.

  • You’re a certified professional. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Technical discipline.
