Position Title: Sr. Manager Quality Assurance (M3)

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Sr. Manager Quality Assurance will develop, implement, and conduct a Quality Management System; leading a team of quality assurance engineers, reporting results, providing insight into root causes, and assisting in improvement strategies with key stakeholders. The manager will drive quality assurance programs to ensure conformance to Crown and industry standards, processes, and procedures. Areas of focus will span structural tower construction, inspections, and work procedures, products, and outcomes specified by standards. A strong emphasis will be placed on analytical discoveries that uncover areas of needed focus. The outcome will be to drive compliance and continuous improvement of operations within the Assets and Operations team. This position will also participate/lead in the development and delivery of training programs for both internal employees and external vendors; being the subject matter expert of our operational requirements. The manger will also participate in or lead the development of qualification requirements of vendors, construction standards, inspection standards, and safety programs.
Essential Job Functions
- Lead a team of direct reports including development of qualifications, hiring, team development, and performance management.
- Develop a full working knowledge of Crown engineering and operations standards, with the ability to read and interpret structural reinforcement and general construction drawings for conformance to Crown standards and quality requirements are specified as to audit project/vendor conformance and performance.
- Develop and apply Quality Assurance Management Systems to develop and maintain quality of operations, structural construction, and safety.
- Develop and maintain statistical analysis and controls of operations to identify critical areas needing quality management.
- Document inspection results and perform analysis, reporting, and presentation to employees, managers, directors and senior leadership.
- Schedule and manage reoccurring QA meetings with key stakeholders on a regular basis to share results and monitor/lead the disposition of all reported non-conformance issues.
- Conduct field audits and observations of structural tower construction, inspections, and other activities maintaining all audit files, data, and reporting.
- Conduct desktop audits of work products and outcomes specified by standards maintaining all audit files, data, and reporting.
- Assist or lead the development of standards, processes, and procedures related to the Assets and Operations department.
- Assist or lead the development and delivery of training to ensure continuous improvement in execution of processes, procedures, and quality.
- Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the quality management system; recommend and provide input on the creation of, or enhancement of, operational standards, policies and procedures to improve cost, quality, and speed.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Education/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
- AWS D1.1 Certified Weld Inspector certification is desirable but not required
- PMP certification highly desirable but not required
- Six Sigma training highly desirable but not required
- Training or experience in quality management systems, such as the ISO 9000 family of standards, is highly desirable but not required
Experience/Minimum Requirements
- Eight (8)+ years of construction and/or maintenance experience preferably in the telecommunications industry.
- Three (3)+ years experience leading a team of technical experts.
- Specific knowledge of structural and civil construction standards, processes, and materials.

- Working knowledge of communication tower structural design, construction, inspection, and related standards

Organizational Relationship

Where You Will Work: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in the office on Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, teammates have the option to work from the office or home. There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter that could require travel.

Compensation
The salary range offered for this position is $136000 - $187000 annually. A candidate's offer is determined by various factors including but not limited to, depth of experience, role-related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, internal alignment, and work location. Depending on the position offered, the compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of a discretionary annual cash bonus or commissions, and equity incentives.
