Overview Job Title: Sr AS400 Developer Location: Hybrid - King of Prussia, PA (4 days onsite/1 day remote) Job Type: Independent Contract (Contractor / Non-Employee) Start Date: ASAP Pay Rate: $68-70/hr 1099 / C2C Contract Length: 12+ Months Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior .NET Developer with strong technical expertise and demonstrated leadership capabilities to lead a team of developers while remaining actively involved in software design, development, and delivery. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical leader who can drive architectural decisions, mentor team members, and collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver high-quality enterprise applications. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable .NET applications and services. Define and enforce software development standards, best practices, and coding guidelines. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to development team members. Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and tools that support business objectives. Drive application architecture, performance optimization, and security initiatives. Team Management Manage, mentor, and develop a team of software developers. Assign and prioritize workload to ensure project milestones are achieved. Support hiring efforts, including interviewing, onboarding, and performance evaluations. Foster a collaborative, high-performing, and accountable team culture. Provide technical coaching and career development guidance. Software Development Design, build, test, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Microsoft technologies. Develop RESTful APIs, web applications, and backend services. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and release management activities. Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Product Owners, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 8+ years of professional software development experience using Microsoft technologies. 3+ years of experience leading, mentoring, or managing development teams. Strong experience with: C# .NET Framework and .NET Core/.NET 8+ ASP.NET MVC and ASP.NET Core REST API development SQL Server and database design Entity Framework Azure cloud services Git source control Experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies. Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of microservices architecture. Experience with front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js. Experience in cloud-native development and modern application modernization initiatives. Microsoft Azure certifications are a plus.
