Sr Procurement Project Spec NPI(m/f/d)

The Sr Strategic Sourcing Specialist (NPI projects) leads sourcing activities for new product introduction (NPI) projects across assigned SBUs and regions. This role is accountable for developing and executing sourcing strategies and project plans, acting as the key interface between suppliers, design teams, and program managers. The position ensures alignment with commodity strategies and drives cost efficiency, quality, and delivery performance throughout the NPI lifecycle. This is hybrid work 3+2! (3 days from office + 2 days from home). Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end sourcing activities for NPI projects, including supplier selection, RFQ process, contract negotiation, and award execution, ensuring 100% BOM coverage and milestone achievement Develop and execute sourcing project plans aligned with commodity strategies to achieve cost optimization, risk mitigation, and strong commercial leverage from day one Conduct risk assessments and proactively implement mitigation plans to address potential delays or supply chain disruptions Drive supplier engagement throughout the NPI lifecycle, including RFPs, value engineering (VE), and integration into production environments (factory or EMS) Ensure smooth transition from NPI to production, including PPAP completion, supplier validation, and alignment with manufacturing teams Establish flexible and efficient supply chain processes (e.g., lead time reduction, automation of forecasting and purchase orders) Develop strategic supplier relationships, including multi-year agreements, productivity commitments, and high contract compliance Monitor market trends, technologies, and supplier capabilities to bring continuous improvement and innovation into the sourcing process Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA is a plus) 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Sourcing, with at least 3 years in Project Management Strong experience with NPI processes and aligning customer requirements with supply base capabilities Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills in a matrix environment Solid organizational and project management capabilities with attention to detail Technical understanding of electronics or engineering-related domains is preferred Ability to work collaboratively and lead cross-functional teams effectively English proficiency: minimum B2 level required Our offer Competitive Salary regularly increased based on your performance; Enjoy 25 vacation days per year, plus extra days off for life's special events we provide meal vouchers; Flexible benefits basket with monthly budget allocated (top up medical insurance, life insurance, pension, vacation/ cultural/ fuel vouchers); Medical Insurance Plan paid by the company; Christmas and Easter bonuses; Recognition & referral bonus programs; Comprehensive induction, ongoing training and development to set you up for success; Work experience opportunities to help you grow your career with us; Global employee networks to help you connect and grow; Employee Assistance Program - Free and confidential service to help with any difficulties regarding work, life and personal or family matters; In case of unfortunate events, we support you by offering you free days and financial support (handled on a case by case basis) or Family financial aids; Access Integrity line - Any workplace issues or violations that need to be raised in good faith, can be communicated in a safe, private and confidential environment; Your family is growing while working at Honeywell?
