About the team and the role
eBay Live is building the future of live commerce on one of the world’s most trusted marketplaces. Our team is creating new ways for sellers to build and scale their businesses through live, interactive commerce—helping them bring inventory to life, build deeper connections with buyers, and turn live moments into meaningful business growth.
The Seller and Host Experience team sits at the center of that journey, owning the end-to-end experiences that help sellers and hosts succeed before, during, and after a live event. From getting started and setting up events and listings, to managing shows and engaging buyers in real time, to navigating post-show operations and fulfillment, our goal is to make it simple and seamless for sellers to start, run, and scale their live businesses on eBay.
This role will tackle some of the most important seller and host problems we’re solving today: making the seller journey more intuitive and reliable from first use through post-event execution, while building experiences that can scale across markets, seller segments, and an expanding Live ecosystem.
As Senior Product Manager, Seller and Host Experience – eBay Live, you’ll own critical parts of the seller and host journey. You’ll develop a deep understanding of seller needs and behaviors, identify the highest-impact opportunities, and translate those insights into a clear product strategy and roadmap. Working closely with engineering, design, analytics, operations, and business partners, you’ll take products from problem definition through launch and iteration—making it easier for sellers and hosts to activate, create compelling live events, manage their inventory and operations, and ultimately grow their businesses on eBay Live.
This is an exciting opportunity for a product manager who thrives in a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment, stays close to customers, and is energized by building at the intersection of commerce, content creation, and community.
What you will accomplish
- Own a major seller and host experience area within eBay Live, with opportunities spanning onboarding and activation, event and listing management, seller and host tooling, and operational workflows.
- Develop the product strategy and roadmap for your area, translating seller insights, qualitative research, support trends, and product data into clear priorities and product investments.
- Partner closely with engineering and design from problem definition through launch and iteration to deliver simple, high-quality experiences that reduce friction for sellers and hosts.
- Improve critical seller journeys across setup, live show operations, and post-event execution, while designing solutions that can scale to new seller segments and markets over time.
- Define success metrics, measure product performance, and use data and customer feedback to continuously improve adoption, usability, quality, and business impact.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration across engineering, design, analytics, operations, and business partners, independently navigating tradeoffs and sequencing work to deliver measurable progress against team and business goals.
What you will bring
- 5+ years of product management or equivalent experience, with a track record of owning meaningful product initiatives from discovery through launch and iteration.
- Strong product judgement and fundamentals, including customer problem definition, prioritization, product strategy, roadmap development, and cross-functional execution.
- A customer-first mindset and the ability to combine qualitative insights and quantitative data to identify problems, size opportunities, make decisions, and evaluate impact.
- Ability to translate complex customer or business problems into clear strategies and simple, intuitive, scalable product experiences.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and build alignment among partners with different perspectives and incentives.
- A bias for action, comfort operating in a fast-moving environment, and curiosity about how sellers build and grow their businesses.
