THE OPPORTUNITY: The Sr. Project Lead is responsible for leading large, complex, and highly visible strategic initiatives through the full project management life cycle. This role provides project leadership across multiple departments, balancing competing priorities, organizational dependencies, resource constraints, and stakeholder needs. The Sr. Project Lead partners with business and technology leaders to establish priorities, address risks, and support informed decision-making while ensuring initiatives are delivered within defined timeline, scope, and budget. The role also strengthens project delivery practices and serves as a mentor and resource to other Project Leads. This position offers the chance to contribute to organizational success through strong leadership and strategic execution. LOCATION: Hybrid (Bel Air, MD Office) WHAT YOU’LL DO: Lead large, complex, and highly visible strategic initiatives across multiple departments Guide project teams through planning, execution, implementation, stabilization, change management, and project to achieve project goals and objectives Establish project scope, objectives, timelines, resource needs, governance, and measures of success. Day to day management of a project to include working with Stakeholders to define project backlogs, lead daily SCRUMS, sprint planning, sprint demos, sprint and project retrospectives and identify/resolve obstacles Anticipate risks, dependencies, assumptions, and resource constraints, and develop appropriate mitigation strategies Manage all phases of the projects, including inception, implementation, stabilization, go-live, and project close ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets Ensure project information, decisions, risks, status, and supporting documentation are current and maintained in the designated systems of record. Facilitate effective communication among team members throughout the project lifecycle Anticipate risks, dependencies, assumptions, and resource constraints, and develop appropriate mitigation strategies Provide leadership reporting on project status, risks, outcomes, and recommendations. Manages project in project management tool such as Azure Dev Ops Partner with business and technology leaders to establish priorities, resolve conflicts, and support informed decision-making Responsible for creating, editing, and updating project documentation Drive continuous improvement in project delivery practices, governance, and standards WHAT YOU’LL BRING: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field 7 - 10 years of experience in project management or a related field; Insurance industry experience preferred Project Management Professional certification Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives Knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, traditional, and hybrid delivery approaches Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and applicable project management tools BENEFITS: PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
