Brief Description : This position provides direction and project management oversight for large, complex, and/or or strategic projects across multiple sites. The Senior Project Manager PAS is responsible for defining projects, determining the purpose and objectives, communicating with clients to understand their business needs, secures executive sponsorship and funding approval, supports departmental funding, budgeting activities, and develops comprehensive project plans of each department and planning. This role manages multiple concurrent projects, larger budgets, and high-risk transformation initiatives, while mentoring junior project managers or team members. The position also serves as a key resource for training, and developing change agents; leading Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen events; implementing Visual Workplace and Standard Work at the site level and aligning continuous improvement initiatives with organizational strategy. This role may also manage cross-functional strategic planning projects, contribute content and ideas, develop verbal and written strategic communications, and synthesize complex topics into actionable plans. The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining continuous improvement plans, communication plans, schedules, estimates, and managing budgets or revenue impact, profit contribution and other relevant measurable business metrics. This position solves unique and complex problems with broad business impact, contributes to functional strategy, and leads project teams to achieve milestones and objectives on time and within budget. Ultimately, this role supports UBC in gaining additional business, driving EBITA/EBITDA growth through new collaborations, and while also partnering with account management on strategic projects for existing clients. Specific job duties: Provides business direction and project management for strategic and tactical projects at site level. Analysis of complex situations, distillation of the issues into options and driving to appropriate conclusions. Defines project/program scope, business rules, deliverables, work plans and decisions. Lead large cross-functional project efforts with all parts of organization. Manages tight deadlines, scope and converging opinions to solutions in timely manner. Ensures project delivers business operational needs and requirements. Provide input to Contracts Management group to revise scope of work as needed for projects and budget revisions as required where appropriate, communicate delivery or completion of project deliverables to Finance to track invoicing and follow-up Support business development of proposals – both description of services and budget. Participate in business development presentations. Champion of Process Improvement Initiatives for key improvement areas, in coordination with others to avoid duplication. Be an agent of change and implement this standard framework and be able to measure outcomes Assist in Change Agent Training Development or Selection, Delivery Work with Patient Services Continuous Improvement resources to develop or select a Lean Six Sigma training module to develop select resources in major functional groups as “Change Agents,” at least Green Belt level of knowledge preferred. Mentor Change Agent – Continually meet with trained change agents to help reinforce specific concepts. Monitor and report contract status for new business as a liaison between the Finance department and the project team. Actively participate and lead design & strategy sessions and product/service development Ability to travel up to 40% to attend related meetings/conferences as needed. Actively participates in in-person and virtual meeting/events (internal and external) Supervisory Responsibility: N/A Desired Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline or relevant experience 8 – 12 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 5 – 10 years relevant experience Preferred Lean Certification at Expert or Master level Extensive project management skills using various programs to prepare and execute business plans Microsoft office applications Project management experience in implementing PAS services - Reimbursement Service, Financial Assistance, PAP program set up, Adherence Programs, Copay programs, and other related services is preferred At a minimum, lead and navigate Systems integration and CRM build projects to support PAS preferred Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills Must have managed all aspects of Lean Deployment, preferably a contact center Ability to manage complex analysis from issue identification to proposal of potential solutions At UBC, employee growth and well-being are always at the forefront.
