The Project Manager / Product Owner (PM/PO) is responsible for driving the operational execution, scope management, and product backlog strategy across a multi-tenant SaaS platform. Operating at the intersection of product vision and engineering delivery, this role ensures business requirements are translated into locked, technical specifications within a Spec-Driven Development workflow.
Working closely with Technical Leads, AI Leads, and cross-functional engineering pods, the PM/PO ensures smooth sprint cadence, clear delivery roadmaps, and strict scope control across web portals and mobile applications. Success in this role means maintaining operational predictability, facilitating fast-paced AI-accelerated development workflows, and ensuring delivered features match product expectations without scope creep.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day project execution and backlog management for cross-functional engineering pods in an Agile environment.
• Translate product requirements and operator workflows into detailed user stories, functional acceptance criteria, and locked technical specifications.
• Drive Spec-Driven Development processes by ensuring specifications are complete, clear, and approved prior to engineering execution.
• Manage the product backlog, prioritizing user stories and technical tasks based on business value, technical dependencies, and MVP scope limits.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, and sprint retrospectives.
• Monitor sprint velocity, release milestones, and delivery risks, implementing proactive mitigation strategies.
• Act as the primary bridge between product leadership, technical leads, and business stakeholders to align expectations and scope.
• Maintain strict scope boundary discipline, managing change requests and preventing scope creep during active build cycles.
• Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate that delivered features conform to defined specifications and quality gates.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Product Owner, or hybrid PM/PO within B2B SaaS software development environments.
• Proven experience working closely with engineering teams in Agile/Scrum settings, managing backlogs using tools like Jira or Linear.
• Strong technical literacy with the ability to understand cloud-native architectures, API integrations, and multi-surface (web/mobile) ecosystems.
• Demonstrated experience writing detailed user stories, functional specifications, and clear acceptance criteria.
• Exceptional organizational, time-management, and scope-management skills.
• Advanced English level (C1) with outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and manage delivery dependencies effectively.

Nice to Have

• Experience in environments leveraging Spec-Driven Development or AI-assisted software development workflows.
• Background managing multi-surface software products (responsive web platforms alongside native mobile applications).
• Professional certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or PMP.
• Familiarity with operational software for service-based businesses, resource scheduling, or integrated payment workflows.
