Job Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure LSS residential properties within an assigned portfolio are properly maintained, safe, functional, compliant, and responsive to program needs.
The Senior Property Manager serves as a steward of an assigned residential property portfolio throughout the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area and Southern Minnesota.
This role supports residential homes that provide community-based living environments and support services for individuals with disabilities and other identified support needs.
This highly independent, field-based role requires strong organization, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Approximately 40%-60% travel is expected, typically two to three days per week for property visits, stakeholder meetings, inspections, and project support.
The Senior Property Manager oversees inspections, lease administration, capital and maintenance projects, stakeholder relationships, documentation, and follow-up across a portfolio of approximately 75 residential properties.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, facilities management, housing, real estate, construction management, building sciences, or related field preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for education.
- 3-5+ years of relevant experience managing projects, competing priorities, and stakeholder relationships.
- Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Construction, facilities, housing, or property-related experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property/project tracking systems.
- Experience managing stakeholder relationships, vendors, projects, and negotiations.
- Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal codes/regulations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interpret construction, architectural, or project-related documents is helpful.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Candidates with strong project management, facilities, housing, operations, construction administration, or related experience are encouraged to apply, even without direct residential property management experience.
