Job Title: Senior Frontend Software Engineer Location: Sofia, Bulgaria Department: Engineering Reports to: Manager, Software Engineering Job Summary Quickbase is looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Software Engineer to design, build, and enhance modern web applications and backend services that power innovative, AI-driven product experiences for our no-code platform. In this role, you will work cross-functionally to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions while contributing to system reliability, engineering best practices, and a fast-moving collaborative culture. Job Duties and Responsibilities Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack application features and services. Build and enhance AI-powered product experiences using modern frameworks and tooling. Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to translate customer and business needs into scalable and impactful solutions. Develop intuitive, responsive, and maintainable user experiences with reliable backend services that support high-performance product experiences. Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices. Help improve system reliability, scalability, and performance over time. Contribute to a collaborative, innovative, and fast-moving engineering culture focused on continuous improvement and customer impact. Basic Qualifications Strong software engineering experience building and maintaining production-grade applications across frontend and backend systems. Solid engineering fundamentals including testing, system design, data modeling, performance optimization, and building maintainable and scalable architectures. Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability, and modern deployment practices. Experience integrating AI-powered features, working with AI APIs, or using AI-assisted development tools to improve product and engineering outcomes. Ability to work efficiently in a language-agnostic environment and ramp up quickly on new technologies, frameworks, and tools. Ability to independently own projects and deliver high-quality software in iterative development environments. Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams. Customer-focused mindset with attention to usability, reliability, performance, accessibility, and overall product quality. Preferred Qualifications Full-stack experience, though candidates with deeper frontend specialization will be considered. Experience with modern web technologies such as React and Node.js. Backend-focused experience designing and building scalable, reliable high-performance services, APIs, and data integrations.
