Job Summary
Xumo is seeking a Senior Technical Business Systems Analyst, Media Platforms to serve as a senior individual contributor supporting Platform Product, Engineering, Operations, and Security initiatives. This role independently leads complex business and systems analysis across Xumo’s Media Platforms, translating strategic business and operational needs into scalable requirements, governance practices, and measurable platform outcomes.The Senior Platform Systems Analyst will help translate business objectives into actionable requirements, improve operational efficiency, identify cross-system dependencies, and support scalable platform growth across Xumo's media technology environment. This position serves as a critical bridge between Product, Engineering, Platform Operations, Cybersecurity, and enterprise stakeholders, helping ensure platform initiatives are clearly defined, operationally sound, and aligned with business objectives.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Requirements and Systems Analysis (50%)
- Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation for platform initiatives across CMS, Metadata, Ingest, Platform Services, and related engineering systems.
- Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to translate business needs into functional, technical, and operational requirements.
- Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, requirements reviews, and stakeholder alignment discussions.
- Create and maintain business requirements documents, workflow diagrams, use cases, process maps, and supporting documentation.
- Analyze system interactions, data flows, operational dependencies, and platform impacts across multiple services.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to ensure requirements are complete, actionable, and traceable through delivery.
- Independently lead analysis efforts for complex cross-functional initiatives spanning multiple platform domains.
- Platform Operations and Process Optimization (30%)
- Analyze and improve workflows across content ingestion, metadata management, content publishing, platform operations, and supporting services.
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, automation, standardization, and scalability.
- Document ownership models, operational procedures, dependencies, and service interactions.
- Perform impact assessments for platform enhancements, releases, infrastructure changes, and operational initiatives.
- Coordinate operational readiness activities for major releases and system deployments.
- Develop runbooks, readiness checklists, support procedures, and operational documentation.
- Participate in root-cause analysis, post-launch reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support change management activities associated with platform modernization and service improvements.
- Governance and Security Enablement (20%)
- Support governance, compliance, cybersecurity, and audit-readiness initiatives across platform systems and services.
- Partner with Security, Privacy, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams to document controls, workflows, ownership models, and supporting artifacts.
- Assist with risk identification, remediation tracking, and control documentation activities.
- Help establish traceability between platform requirements, operational processes, audit findings, and remediation efforts.
- Support development and maintenance of governance documentation, process controls, and operational policies.
- Contribute to operational readiness and compliance activities associated with platform security initiatives.
- Serve as a key liaison between Platform stakeholders and Security teams to ensure alignment and visibility across initiatives.
- Position is office based in Irvine, CA 4 days/week in office & 1 day remote
- Ability to work non-traditional hours (as needed) for various critical global events
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Basic Qualifications
- 6-8 years of experience in Systems Analysis, Business Systems Analysis, Platform Operations, Technology Consulting, or related fields.
- Experience supporting enterprise software platforms, media technology systems, or large-scale digital services.
- Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business, technical, operational, and system requirements.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in Agile and cross-functional product development environments.
- Ability to independently manage multiple complex initiatives and competing priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in technology related fields, such as Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Technology, or related discipline
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting streaming media, FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television), CTV (Connected TV), OTT platforms, television/broadcast operations, content delivery systems, or related media technology products and services.
- Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS), metadata platforms, media asset management, or content operations / content supply chain workflows.
- Familiarity with APIs, microservices architectures, cloud platforms, and distributed systems.
- Experience working with metadata, content catalogs, ingestion workflows, or media delivery systems.
- Experience partnering with Security, Compliance, Audit, Risk, or Privacy teams.
- Proficiency with SQL, relational databases, and data analysis tools.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart, or related collaboration tools.

Pay Range: This job can be performed in California with a good faith estimated pay range upon hire of $105,349.85 - $140,466.46 USD.Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within the posted range for this role at the time of posting dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
