Sr. Threat Detection Engineer

One of our top Retail/Manufacturing clients is focused on expanding their threat detection capabilities. They are well-known for a GREAT team and working environment, so this will be a very attractive engagement. The current team is heavier on Incident Response skills, so this person would add value immediately by addressing the backlog of TD use cases. Security Log Onboarding & Visibility Onboard and validate priority security log sources to improve overall environment visibility. Data Quality & Pipeline Management Leverage Cribl for parsing, normalization, enrichment, filtering, and health monitoring to ensure high-quality data throughout the pipeline. Detection Engineering Expand detection coverage through rule creation, correlation, testing, deployment, and ongoing lifecycle management. Tuning & Noise Reduction Reduce false positives and analyst alert fatigue through structured tuning processes and documented exception handling. SOAR & Automation Automate repeatable triage, enrichment, notification, containment, case management, and reporting workflows. Operational Metrics Drive measurable improvements in MTTX metrics and related SecOps KPIs. Existing tooling: Sentinel - SIEM Cribl - parsing/normalizing disparate data sources Reliaquest - orchestration and AI SOC capabilities. This resource should have an understanding of hyperautomation and orchestration. Mindset is to automate everything. Python Azure DevOps and Azure Suite

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $66.65/hr.
