Role Overview

We are seeking a VCF Architect to design, govern, and evolve end-to-end enterprise cloud architectures based on VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF 9.x). The role focuses on building standardized, scalable, and highly resilient private cloud platforms that support multi-site operations, hybrid cloud models, and disaster recovery strategies. You will act as a senior technical authority for VCF architecture, working closely with infrastructure, network, security, and platform engineering teams, as well as executive stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end architectures using VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF 9.x).
• Define and maintain enterprise reference architectures aligned with Broadcom VMware standards.
• Lead the design of private cloud, SDDC, multi-site, and disaster recovery (RPO/RTO-based) environments.
• Ensure integration across compute, storage, networking, and security layers (vSphere, vSAN, NSX).
• Provide architectural governance, design reviews, and validation sessions.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and resilient cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, and operations teams.
• Deliver technical presentations and architecture workshops for stakeholders.

Key Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in VMware-based infrastructure and cloud architecture.
• Strong hands-on and design experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF 5.x–9.x).
• Deep expertise in:
• vSphere
• vSAN and SDDC architecture
• VMware NSX (network virtualization and security integration)
• Multi-site and distributed cloud architectures
• Proven experience designing enterprise-grade disaster recovery and high-availability solutions.
• Strong understanding of VCF lifecycle management, automation concepts, and platform operations.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise or service provider environments.
• Ability to engage with both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
• Strong documentation skills (HLD/LLD, architecture diagrams, standards).

Certifications

• VCIX-DCV – VMware Certified Implementation Expert (Data Center Virtualization)
• VCIX-NV – VMware Certified Implementation Expert (Network Virtualization)
• VCF 9.x Certification or equivalent VMware Cloud Foundation specialization
