Nitka Technologies develops software for customers in the US and Europe and brings together about 300 professionals from Eastern Europe, North and South America, Armenia, Georgia and Kazakhstan.

We are looking for an experienced SRE Engineer for a long-term project. The customer is an American company.

The project is a mobile app and API service that lets users verify their identity once and reuse it across platforms. It helps confirm age, trustworthiness, or delegation rights without oversharing personal data. Businesses integrate via REST/GraphQL APIs, SDKs, server-side libraries and use it to reduce fraud, block bots, and manage traffic fairly. The project leverages cutting-edge technologies, including AI and Machine Learning.

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate scalable and highly available AWS infrastructure.
  • Maintain and improve ECS-based services and CloudFront.
  • Develop and maintain Pulumi-based IaC.
  • Automate infrastructure, deployments and operational processes.
  • Ensure reliability, performance and scalability of APIs and backend services.
  • Collaborate with developers and ML/data engineers to make services production-ready.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in SRE Engineering
  • Strong AWS experience, including ECS and CloudFront.
  • Hands-on experience with Pulumi and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Solid knowledge of Linux, networking, security and cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, Airflow and containerized environments.
  • Understanding of REST/GraphQL APIs and distributed systems.
  • Experience with CI/CD, monitoring, logging and incident management.
  • Knowledge of SRE practices: SLIs/SLOs, reliability, scalability and observability.
  • Experience with TypeScript or the ability to work with TypeScript-based infrastructure/application code.
  • Spoken English (Intermediate level and higher).
