About Search Talent
Search Talent is a boutique talent and advisory firm connecting exceptional professionals with high-growth opportunities across Web3, blockchain, crypto, fintech, and digital finance. As we expand our network and support leading digital payments and stablecoin infrastructure companies, we are actively sourcing an experienced Stablecoin Payments Operations Manager to join a fast-scaling payments business operating at the cutting edge of blockchain-based financial infrastructure.
This is a rare opportunity for a payments professional who genuinely understands stablecoin mechanics, cross-border settlement, and the operational complexity of running a high-volume digital payments business — not just someone who has read about it.
This is a fully remote position open to experienced professionals worldwide.
The Role
You will be the operational backbone of a stablecoin payments business — owning the end-to-end flow of funds, managing payment provider relationships, ensuring settlement integrity, and driving continuous improvement across every operational process that keeps the payments engine running.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will be expected to get into the detail, solve problems under pressure, and build the operational infrastructure that scales.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Own the day-to-day operational performance of stablecoin payment flows — including deposits, withdrawals, cross-border settlements, and on-chain transaction management across multiple blockchain networks and stablecoin assets.
Develop and maintain robust operational frameworks for monitoring, reconciling, and reporting on high-volume stablecoin payment activity across USDT, USDC, PYUSD, DAI, and other major stablecoin assets.
Manage and develop relationships with payment processors, fiat on/off ramp providers, liquidity partners, custodians, and blockchain infrastructure vendors — negotiating terms, resolving issues, and driving performance.
Coordinate with Finance, Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams to ensure all stablecoin payment operations meet applicable regulatory requirements, AML obligations, Travel Rule standards, and internal risk frameworks.
Identify and resolve payment failures, settlement delays, liquidity gaps, and transaction exceptions in a timely and structured manner — owning the resolution process from identification through to root cause analysis and remediation.
Build and continuously optimise operational playbooks, escalation workflows, incident response procedures, and internal controls across the payments function.
Monitor and report on key operational metrics including transaction volumes, settlement times, failure rates, liquidity utilisation, cost per transaction, and payment provider performance.
Work closely with Product and Technology teams to define operational requirements for new payment features, blockchain integrations, and infrastructure improvements.
Support the onboarding of new payment corridors, stablecoin assets, blockchain networks, and merchant or institutional client relationships.
Prepare regular operational reports, performance summaries, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
What You Bring
4+ years of proven experience in payments operations, settlement operations, or treasury operations within a crypto exchange, stablecoin issuer, fintech, payment processor, or digital assets business.
A strong, practical understanding of stablecoin mechanics — including how USDT, USDC, and other major stablecoins operate across different blockchain networks, how settlement finality works on-chain, and the operational nuances of managing multi-chain payment flows.
Direct experience managing high-volume payment operations including transaction monitoring, reconciliation, exception handling, and liquidity management in a live production environment.
Solid understanding of blockchain transaction mechanics across major networks including Ethereum, Tron, Solana, Polygon, and Layer 2 ecosystems relevant to stablecoin payments.
Familiarity with fiat on/off ramp operations, banking relationships, SEPA, SWIFT, and the integration points between traditional payment rails and blockchain-based settlement.
Working knowledge of AML, KYC, Travel Rule compliance, and regulatory reporting requirements applicable to stablecoin payment businesses across major jurisdictions.
Experience working with payment infrastructure tools, blockchain explorers, transaction monitoring platforms, and reconciliation systems used in a crypto payments context.
Strong analytical capabilities — you are comfortable working with large transaction datasets, building operational dashboards, and using data to drive decisions and surface risk.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to engage clearly with technical teams, compliance functions, external partners, and senior stakeholders.
A calm, methodical, and solutions-oriented approach — particularly when managing payment incidents, partner escalations, or operational crises in a 24/7 environment.
Attributes That Will Set You Apart
Experience working specifically within a stablecoin issuer, cross-border crypto payments business, or blockchain-native financial infrastructure company.
Hands-on familiarity with enterprise payment platforms, treasury management systems, or blockchain payment gateways used in institutional or high-volume contexts.
Understanding of emerging stablecoin regulatory frameworks including MiCA in the European Union, the UK's approach to stablecoin oversight, and relevant developments in APAC and MENA jurisdictions.
Experience designing and implementing operational controls, payment risk frameworks, and fraud prevention measures within a digital assets payments business.
Knowledge of programmable payments, smart contract-based payment rails, and the operational considerations of deploying payments on decentralised infrastructure.
Experience managing operational teams or leading cross-functional working groups across payments, compliance, and technology functions.
Professional qualifications in payments, finance, or operations such as AFP, CTP, ACCA, or equivalent are advantageous but not required.
