Staff Accountant

Responsibilities Summary MarketSource is currently seeking an experienced Staff Accountant who would be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial documents, reports and statements. This role would also oversee all accounting procedures while advising on general finance matters. Essential Job Functions: Prepare various financial statements and other internal or external financial reports and distribute the monthly financial reporting packages in accordance with company policy Ensure accuracy and legal compliance of reports Organize, update and maintain the general ledger including creation of appropriate journal entries Research and document accounting activities to ensure compliance with company policy and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) Perform account analysis and/or account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and timely identification of items requiring further action Prepare information in support of annual external audit, including preparation of audit schedules Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue Reconcile and review bank accounts Qualifications Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong mathematical and analytical skills Attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Excellent oral and written communication skills Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting required At least one year experience in accounting or a related field preferred; recent college graduates will be considered Four (4) in-office workdays per week and the option to work remote OR in office on fifth (5th) day Additional Information MarketSource is an Equal Opportunity Employer and will consider all applications without regards to race, sex, age, color, religion, national origin, veteran status, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information or any characteristic protected by law.
