Staff Accountant

At Gen- Tech We are a client focused technology company seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This position is ideal for an accounting professional with 3 to 5 years of public accounting experience who is comfortable working independently across tax, accounting, financial reporting, and client service responsibilities. This is a remote opportunity for a detail oriented accounting professional who can manage priorities effectively, communicate clearly, and deliver accurate work while collaborating with team members in a distributed environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare federal and state tax returns for partnerships and S corporations Prepare individual income tax returns as needed Perform bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation for small and mid sized business clients Review general ledger activity, identify accounting discrepancies, and prepare appropriate adjusting entries Maintain accurate accounting records using QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online Prepare and review quarterly and annual payroll tax filings Manage assigned projects and accounting responsibilities while meeting multiple deadlines Collaborate with leadership and team members on tax, accounting, reporting, and special projects.... Communicate effectively with internal stakeholdes and support ongoing client and business needs in a remote work environment Qualifications 3–5 years of public accounting experience required Experience preparing partnership and S corporation tax returns Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Online Experience with quartely and annual payroll tax reporting Ability to identify accounting issues and make appropriate corrections and adjusting entries Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to independently manage multiple clients, projects, and deadlines in a remote setting Strong written and verbal communication skills Client-service mindset and willingness to take ownership of assigned responsibilities CPA license or progress toward CPA licensure is a plus, but not required What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Fully remote work environment with flexibility and autonomy Supportive and collaborative team culture Opportunities to expand responsibilites and continue professional growth Diverse work across tax, accounting, and advisory functions Exposure to a variety of business operations and accounting challenges.....
