Position Summary:

The Junior Staff Accountant is a member of the Finance and Accounting team and contributes to the integrity and accuracy of the company’s financial records. The role supports accurate balance sheet and operating expense accounts and coordinates assigned accounting activities to help deliver timely, reliable financial reporting.

As part of the centralized accounting team, this position supports all FOH and SPV entities and works closely with the Assistant Controller and Controller. The role also participates in FOH®’s Management Group to support continued professional and leadership development.

  • Hybrid schedule: Mondays & Fridays; 2 days working remotely. Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays ; 3 days working in the headquarters office

Essential Responsibilities:

Treasury

  • Performs assigned daily treasury activities for all entities in accordance with established segregation-of-duties controls.
  • Independently verifies vendor banking changes by telephone using approved contact information before payment instructions are updated.

Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

  • Reviews the accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers for accuracy, completeness, and proper classification.
  • Communicates identified issues to the AP and AR teams and follows through on required corrective actions.
  • Maintains working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and collections processes to serve as a resource or backup when needed.

General Ledger and Month-End Close

  • Completes assigned month-end close activities accurately and within established checklist deadlines.
  • Partners with the AP and AR teams to ensure month-end activities are complete and accurate prior to balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Owns the review and reclassification of Brex and Navan transactions in coordination with the AP Coordinator.
  • Prepares complete supporting schedules for assigned general ledger accounts for review and reconciliation by the Assistant Controller.
  • Reconciles assigned balance sheet accounts monthly and retains complete electronic supporting documentation to maintain audit readiness.
  • Supports general ledger integrity by reviewing account coding and transactions against approved budgets and investigating variances as assigned.
  • Performs the three-way match for assigned supply chain and manufacturing transactions facilitated by R&S Mayer WOFE, in accordance with segregation-of-duties requirements.
  • Posts approved journal vouchers for the AP and AR teams in accordance with established approval requirements.

General Responsibilities

  • Supports the Controller in monitoring and processing VAT liabilities and related disbursements for foreign subsidiaries.
  • Maintains and updates departmental procedures, standards, and supporting documentation as processes change.
  • Supports Finance leadership in administering annual departmental budgets.
  • Supports annual and ad hoc external audits by preparing requested schedules, documentation, and account support.
  • Participates actively in one-on-one meetings, team meetings, and required training.
  • Contributes to the effective use and continuous improvement of SAP, Brex, Navan, and other finance systems.
  • Identifies and helps implement workflow improvements that strengthen communication within Finance and Accounting and across departments.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Promotes FOH® culture and values in all interactions.

Education, Experience, and Computer Skills:

  • Associate degree in Accounting or a related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of accounting or related experience
  • Experience supporting month-end close, general ledger accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prior leadership, coaching, or process-ownership experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems; SAP Business One experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Brex and Navan expense and travel management systems.
  • Experience with Datarails or a comparable financial reporting platform preferred.

The salary/hourly range for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions, including, but not limited to, work experience, territory, geographical location, etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
