Staff Accountant (Quickbooks)

Position: Staff Accountant Work Type: Full Time, Remote Working hours: 9am-5pm EST Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to support full-cycle accounting operations across multiple entities. This is a full-time remote position responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring the timely processing of accounting transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, excellent Excel skills, and a passion for improving efficiency through AI and automation. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounting activities across multiple entities. Process and maintain accounts payable transactions. Perform daily and monthly cash postings and reconciliations. Prepare and post payroll journal entries. Record accruals and other month-end journal entries. Reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Review financial statements for accuracy and completeness. Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances. Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation. Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes through automation and technology. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3–5+ years of accounting experience performing full-cycle accounting functions. Required experience with QuickBooks Online . Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, lookups, and data analysis. Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals. Ability to manage multiple entities and prioritize competing deadlines. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated interest in utilizing AI tools and automation to improve accounting workflows. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a multi-entity environment. Exposure to accounting process automation tools and technologies. Experience supporting remote teams and distributed organizations.
