Staff Analyst (Finance & Accounting) - Remote (GDL or Mexico City Only)

We are hiring a Staff Analyst, Finance & Accounting to own the billing and collections cycle across our portfolio, support accurate revenue recognition, and pitch in on broader accounting work as our finance function scales. This is a hands-on role for someone who is precise with numbers, comfortable owning a process end to end, and energized by the pace of a growing firm. You will report into the finance team and work closely with account leads, project teams, and portfolio company finance contacts across both our U.S. and Mexico entities. What You Will Do: Revenue Billings: Prepare and issue client invoices in line with contracts and statement-of-work terms Confirm billing triggers with account and project teams before invoices go out Maintain billing schedules across portfolio companies and flag discrepancies early Keep billing records clean and audit-ready AR Collections Monitor accounts receivable aging and drive down days sales outstanding Follow up directly with clients on overdue balances and payment status Reconcile customer accounts and apply incoming cash accurately Escalate at-risk accounts to finance leadership with a clear recommendation Revenue Recognition: Support month-end revenue recognition entries in line with U.S. GAAP (ASC 606) Maintain deferred revenue schedules and reconcile them against billings Help translate variable, percentage-of-revenue pricing structures into accurate recognized revenue Partner with the accounting team to document revenue treatment for new contract types Broader Accounting Support: Assist with month-end close: journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting Support audit requests and compliance work spanning U.S. and Mexican frameworks Take on ad hoc analysis for finance leadership as priorities shift What You Bring: We're looking for someone who takes ownership of a process and sees it through, with a solid foundation in accounting fundamentals and comfort working across our U.S. and Mexico entities. Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP revenue recognition concepts is valuable, and prior exposure to SAT´s electronic filing (CFDIs) requirements is a plus. Your knowledge, skills, and abilities: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field At least one year of experience managing billings and AR workflows Experience using systems such as Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, Bill.com, Contpaqi, Allegra, and/or Siigo Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis High attention to detail and strong analytical skills Business-level written and spoken English Only resumes in English will be considered Authorized to work in Mexico Why The Launch Box?
