Staff Product Engineer

Staff Product Engineer (Forward Deployed) | Germany, Remote | €150k to €180k base plus bonus and equity

Millions of customer conversations a year are now handled by AI agents built on my client's platform, for some of the largest enterprises in Europe. They're one of Europe's best-funded AI companies, and they're building a small, senior engineering team to take on their most complex and high-profile customer deployments.

The role

The platform lets business users build and manage AI agents themselves. For large enterprise customers, there is usually work the platform doesn't cover out of the box. Product Engineers own that work and make sure it performs reliably in production.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role, writing and reviewing code every week.

The team sits within Product and Engineering rather than Sales, and is expanding significantly over the coming year.

What they're looking for

• Eight or more years of production engineering experience in TypeScript or Python, with at least five spent leading architecture in enterprise or customer-facing environments.
• A background in B2B enterprise software or technical consulting.
• Experience integrating with complex and legacy enterprise systems.
• The ability to communicate technical decisions clearly to customers and stakeholders, comfort working with ambiguity, and experience mentoring or leading other engineers.

The package

• €150k to €180k base salary, plus an annual bonus and equity.
• Berlin HQ (Hybrid)
