About you

The ideal applicant should have made the jump from “good first issues” to contribute more meaningful PRs and Reviews, and maintain a reasonable quality of work while meeting these criteria:

1. Have chosen a specific Bitcoin open-source project to contribute to and made several non-trivial code contributions

   • Non-trivial review: has contributed helpful insights on others' work and helped to move code that is not their own forward

   • Non-trivial PRs: at least one merged code-based PR (excluding documentation changes) that is not labelled as a "good first issue".

   • Non-trivial contributions: helpful responses on issues, input on discussions, participation in community (project or otherwise, like BitDevs)

2. Have a clear plan outlining what you want to work on over the next six months

3. Be willing to commit full-time to contributing to open-source projects during the six-month grant period

4. Positive reviews from at least one mentor or contributor on the project.
