Due to the rapid growth of our company, we are looking for a motivated employee for the position of Process Design Engineer & Start-Up Advisor.
Missions :
What will you do?
This position combines process design engineering with commissioning and start‑up advisory activities. You will be assigned to engineering or start‑up tasks depending on project needs and workload.
The Process Engineering activities are dedicated to execution of the projects for our international customers with either limited scope (basic engineering, supply of proprietary equipment, supervision of site activities) or the complete treatment solution (turn-key projects).
The Start-up activities concern advising and supporting our client during equipment installation, commissioning and start-up steps of new units
1. Process Design Engineering
· Simulate process units to establish material and heat balances and deliver unit documentation (PFD, P&ID, MMD).
· Size equipment (pumps, reactors, columns, compressors, drums, etc.).
· Size piping and specify instruments and safety elements of the unit.
· Participate in customer meetings throughout the project lifecycle.
· Occasionally contribute to the development of new technologies and continuous improvement of existing solutions.
2. Start‑Up / Commissioning Advisory
· Ensure that construction and installation activities are carried out in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
· Prepare and deliver commissioning and start-up procedures and guidelines for customers and project teams.
· Provide on-site technical support during commissioning and start-up phases to ensure safe, efficient, and successful project delivery.
· Troubleshoot operational issues and recommend improvements to support reliable and optimized plant performance.
· Monitor commissioning activities and performance testing to verify that operational objectives are achieved.
· Collaborate with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders throughout project execution and start-up activities.
· Capture and share lessons learned and field feedback to support continuous improvement across projects.
· Contribute to the development, maintenance, and improvement of standard commissioning and start-up documentation, tools, and best practices.
Knowledge and Required Level :
You hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Bioprocess Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, combined with 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial process design. You communicate effectively in English, and additional language skills are a plus in this international environment.
