Job Description Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Sterling Integration Support Specialist with hands-on experience in IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and Product Content Management (PCM) to join our growing Integration Center of Excellence. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing end-to-end B2B integration solutions while also managing and enriching product data through PCM platforms. You will collaborate with clients, business analysts, and technical teams to ensure high availability, accuracy, and compliance of integration flows and product information. Key Responsibilities Sterling B2B Integration Support • Monitor, support, and maintain IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (SI) environments including maps, business processes (BPs), and trading partner configurations • Troubleshoot EDI transaction failures (X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON) and provide timely root cause analysis and resolution • Manage onboarding and offboarding of trading partners including AS2, SFTP, FTPS, and VAN connectivity setup • Develop and modify Sterling maps using Sterling Map Editor and manage translation services for EDI document sets (850, 810, 856, 940, 945, 997, etc.) • Maintain and optimize Business Process (BPML) workflows within Sterling SI for automated exception handling and retry logic • Work with Sterling File Gateway (SFG) for secure managed file transfers and partner routing configurations • Perform scheduled health checks, log analysis, and performance tuning of Sterling environments • Collaborate with middleware, ERP (SAP/Oracle), and WMS teams for seamless end-to-end transaction flows Product Content Management (PCM) • Support and administer PCM platforms (e.g., IBM Sterling Product Information Management, Akeneo, Salsify, or equivalent) to manage product master data • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of product attributes, hierarchies, and digital assets across all channels • Develop and maintain data import/export pipelines between PCM and downstream systems such as ERP, eCommerce, and retailer portals • Collaborate with merchandising, marketing, and supply chain teams to gather product data requirements and enforce data governance standards • Configure syndication workflows to distribute product content to trading partners and retail channels (1WorldSync, Syndigo, etc.) • Perform data quality audits and work with data stewards to remediate catalog discrepancies Integration Architecture & Collaboration • Participate in design reviews for new integration solutions, ensuring best practices and reusability • Create and maintain technical documentation including integration design documents, runbooks, and operational guides • Provide L2/L3 production support, incident management, and SLA adherence for critical integration flows • Work in Agile/Scrum teams, contribute to sprint planning, and deliver within defined timelines • Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge base articles and training material Required Qualifications Technical Skills • 3–8 years of hands-on experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (v5.x / v6.x) • Strong proficiency in EDI standards: ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and XML/JSON-based B2B transactions • Experience with Sterling Map Editor, BPML scripting, and Sterling File Gateway (SFG) • Knowledge of communication protocols: AS2, SFTP, FTPS, HTTP/S, VAN, and REST/SOAP APIs • Hands-on experience with at least one PCM/PIM platform (IBM Sterling PIM, Akeneo, Salsify, inRiver, or similar) • Understanding of product data standards: GS1, GDSN, UNSPSC, and retail data syndication • Familiarity with ERP integrations (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and WMS systems • Basic scripting skills in Java, Python, or Shell for automation and data transformation tasks • Experience with monitoring tools and log analysis (Splunk, ELK Stack, or native Sterling logs) Soft Skills & Process • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to incident resolution • Excellent communication skills — able to articulate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders • Experience working in ITIL-aligned support environments with ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira) • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-facing environment • Strong documentation habits and commitment to knowledge sharing Nice to Have • IBM Certified Associate / Professional — Sterling B2B Integrator or related certification • Experience with cloud-based integration platforms: IBM App Connect, MuleSoft, or Azure Integration Services • Exposure to container environments (Docker/Kubernetes) for Sterling deployments • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and MDM (Master Data Management) principles • Experience with GS1 data pools and 1WorldSync / Syndigo syndication platforms • Background in retail, CPG, or healthcare supply chain domain What We Offer Compensation & Growth • Competitive salary with performance bonuses • Structured career path with regular reviews • Certification support & sponsored training • Exposure to Fortune 500 client engagements Culture & Benefits • Remote-first / hybrid work flexibility • Comprehensive health, dental & vision coverage • Collaborative, innovation-driven team culture • Paid time off, holidays & wellness programs Education • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field • Equivalent professional experience with demonstrated Sterling / Integration expertise will be considered
