Strategic Account Director

£50,000-£60,000 base, £25,000 OTE and a £5,000 car allowance, with 28 days holiday and private healthcare. Hybrid working in London or Manchester. The package can also include share options, up to 5% employer pension contribution and a strong learning and development budget.

You will take ownership of a sizeable portfolio of dealer groups, working at C-suite and Franchise Director level to protect revenue and grow wallet share across a broader automotive proposition. This is not an account maintenance role. The business wants someone who will spot the commercial gap, start the right conversation and keep pushing until it moves.

You will have plenty of autonomy, access to senior decision-makers and a proposition with genuine scale behind it!

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage around 50 dealer groups, actively engaging roughly 20 each month to retain revenue and expand share of spend.
  • Build senior relationships with C-suite and Franchise Director contacts, turning commercial insight into clear growth plans.
  • Grow adoption across new, used and auction products, identifying where the proposition can solve real dealer challenges.
  • Work closely with internal Account Managers on joint plans, senior-level negotiations and issues that need more commercial weight.

What You'll Need to Bring

  • A strong dealer services background, ideally selling technology, finance, warranty or another commercial solution into dealer groups.
  • Credible strategic account management experience with evidence of retaining significant clients and growing revenue.
  • The confidence to influence senior decision-makers, backed by sound commercial judgement and comfort using data.
  • A proactive, tenacious and ambitious approach, plus the ability to be in the London or Manchester office three days each week.

Who They Are

They are one of Europe’s largest online car-changing destinations, combining automotive technology, media and marketplace expertise. Following major expansion, the business has significant consumer reach and a growing suite of products for dealer partners.

The team has been brought together to give dealer groups a more joined-up relationship with the business. For the right person, that means a broad proposition to sell, senior-level exposure and a clear brief to grow valuable accounts.
