Role Description
Join our strategic broker distribution team and play a key role in developing and strengthening relationships with some of our most important UK broker partners. You will own and grow strategic broker accounts, influence commercial outcomes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver profitable growth and long-term success.
This role often involves full line management responsibility and/or roles offering a higher level of professional expertise to customers or colleagues. Responsibilities may include setting standards within their team or providing in-depth knowledge and experience to guide others.
Location: Please note that this is a Homebased working role, with the expectation to travel where business requires.
Salary Information
Circa £70.000/ year. Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
About You
- You will own and manage strategic broker relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for allocated accounts.
- You will develop and implement broker account plans that support corporate objectives and profitable growth.
- You will manage broker performance against agreed targets, KPIs and financial objectives, taking corrective action where required.
- You will lead and coordinate virtual teams to achieve business and customer outcomes.
- You will build strong relationships with key stakeholders across broker organisations and Allianz to drive commercial success.
- You will oversee governance processes and ensure effective stakeholder engagement.
- You will identify and deliver strategic projects and business initiatives that support growth and operational improvement.
- You will monitor market, regulatory and sector developments, using insight to shape business strategy and broker propositions.
- You will negotiate commercial agreements and influence outcomes that benefit both Allianz and our broker partners.
Essential Skills
- Strong account management and relationship management experience.
- Excellent networking, negotiation, influencing and persuasion skills.
- Strong understanding of broker distribution and the personal insurance market.
- Experience developing and implementing customer or account strategies.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify profitable growth opportunities.
- Strong financial acumen and the ability to understand and manage profit and loss performance.
- Experience engaging and leading cross-functional teams to achieve customer and business objectives.
- Ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at senior and director level.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Understanding of regulatory, compliance and governance requirements.

Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of Allianz customer and broker propositions.
- Experience managing strategic partnerships within the insurance sector.
- Degree-level education, A-Level education or equivalent qualification.
- Experience delivering strategic change initiatives and business improvement projects.
- Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage.
- Experience analysing market trends and competitor activity to inform business strategy.
