Job Title: Strategic Finance Manager

Location: Dublin (Hybrid)

Salary: DOE plus bonus & benefits

Our Client

Our client is a growing global technology company with a significant presence in Dublin. The business operates within the SaaS sector and continues to invest in its product offering and commercial capabilities.

Why should you apply?

This is an excellent opportunity to take on a highly commercial and strategic finance role sitting at the intersection of Finance, Product, Engineering and Sales. You will have exposure to some of the organisation's most important product investment, pricing and profitability decisions.

The position offers significant senior stakeholder exposure and the opportunity to focus on forward-looking analysis and decision support rather than routine financial reporting. You will help answer key commercial questions around where the business should invest, how products should be monetised and how product decisions impact revenue, cost and margin.

Who should apply?

This role would suit a commercially minded finance professional with strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities who enjoys working through complex and ambiguous business problems.

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or relevant strategic, commercial or corporate finance experience
  • 5+ years' experience in strategic finance, FP&A, commercial finance, corporate finance or a similar analytical role, ideally within technology or SaaS
  • Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills, with experience analysing large datasets and working with BI and analytics tools
  • Commercial understanding with an interest in SaaS economics, pricing, product profitability and investment decisions
  • Ability to communicate complex analysis clearly to senior stakeholders and influence decisions using data and evidence

Role and Reporting Lines

Working closely with senior Finance leadership, this role will partner across Product, Engineering, Sales and Finance. You will provide financial analysis and recommendations to support product investment, pricing and profitability decisions.

  • Build financial models, forecasts and business cases to assess R&D investment, new products and strategic product initiatives
  • Assess expected returns and investment trade-offs across the product portfolio, tracking expected versus realised outcomes
  • Develop pricing models and commercial scenarios for new products, capabilities and packaging changes
  • Partner with Sales and Deal Desk to analyse pricing, discounting and deal economics and identify opportunities to improve price realisation
  • Analyse product, customer and segment profitability, identifying the key drivers of margin performance and opportunities for improvement
  • Develop cost-to-serve and unit economic models, including analysis of cloud hosting, infrastructure and other significant product-related costs
  • Translate complex financial and operational information into clear scenarios and recommendations for senior Finance, Product and Engineering stakeholders
  • Help develop the models, processes and analytical standards required to support a scalable Product Finance capability
