Join Essity's high-performing procurement team as our Strategic Sourcing Manager - Logistics (Australasia), where you'll lead sourcing strategies across a complex logistics portfolio and help shape the future of our supply chain operations.

This is an opportunity to work with local, regional and global stakeholders across a complex logistics portfolio, driving commercial outcomes, strengthening supplier partnerships and delivering sustainable business value. You'll join a collaborative team where your expertise, influence and ability to build trusted relationships will have a direct impact on business success.

About the Role

As the Strategic Sourcing Manager - Logistics (Australasia), you will lead sourcing strategies across key logistics categories including road transport, warehousing, freight forwarding and international shipping services.

Success in this role will come from your ability to build strong stakeholder relationships, influence across a matrix organisation and collaborate across the business to deliver sourcing initiatives that support strategic objectives.

While logistics procurement experience is highly regarded, we welcome applications from procurement professionals with experience across a range of complex spend categories who can demonstrate strong commercial capability, stakeholder influence and a track record of delivering results.

You will play a key role in shaping sourcing strategies, supporting logistics network improvement initiatives and delivering value through strategic supplier partnerships across Australasia. The role also offers exposure to regional and global procurement teams and the opportunity to contribute to broader business initiatives.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute category sourcing strategies aligned with Essity's business and supply chain objectives.
  • Lead strategic sourcing projects, competitive tender processes and supplier negotiations.
  • Drive cost optimisation, value creation, risk mitigation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build and manage strategic supplier relationships that support service excellence, innovation and long-term value.
  • Partner with stakeholders across local, regional and global teams to identify opportunities and align priorities.
  • Monitor market trends, logistics developments and supplier risks to support informed decision-making.
  • Support the deployment of regional and global procurement strategies across Australasia.
  • Lead supplier performance management activities to ensure quality, service and operational excellence.
  • Contribute to logistics network optimisation and future logistics strategy initiatives.

Who You Are

You are a commercially minded procurement professional with a passion for stakeholder engagement, strategic sourcing and delivering meaningful business outcomes.

You bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in strategic sourcing, procurement or category management roles.
  • A proven track record of delivering measurable savings, value creation, operational improvements or risk reduction initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence across multiple levels of an organization.
  • Experience in leading supplier negotiations, tender processes and supplier relationship management programs.
  • Strong commercial, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience operating successfully within a large or matrixed organisation.
  • Strong project management and continuous improvement capabilities.
  • Full and ongoing working rights as an Australian Citizen or permanent resident.

You will stand out if you also bring:

  • Exposure to logistics, transportation, warehousing, freight forwarding or supply chain categories.
  • Knowledge of international shipping, ocean freight and transportation markets.
  • Experience working across multiple countries within Asia and Australasia.
  • Exposure to supplier risk management, sustainability initiatives or procurement governance frameworks.

You are a relationship builder who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, suppliers and cross-functional teams to deliver shared business outcomes. You thrive in collaborative environments and are comfortable working across different teams, priorities and perspectives.
