About the role

You'll partner with the General Manager and local operations teams to drive strategic growth and operational excellence for Bolt Food in Malta. This means building financial models, optimizing end-to-end processes, turning data into actionable decisions, and managing key projects from conception to measurable outcome.

As a Strategy and Operations Manager your goal is to oversee, discover and drive improvements across country operations. You will be the right hand of General Manager in driving operational excellence, analysis, decision making and project management.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Improving operations: Scale and improve country operations by reviewing current and defining new workflows. Oversee merchants operations, onboarding and content quality. Solve problems including but not limiting pricing optimization, fraud decrease, refunds optimization, timely delivery to bring savings and drive orders growth

• Data analysis: Provide business and data analysis to cross line of business initiatives. Automate and standardize as many processes as you can in order to decrease operations costs and efficiency.

• Own and deliver key operational metrics: Make sure to achieve country targets with operations excellence and overall performance. Report progress and KPIs in a proactive and timely manner.

• Team and stakeholders management: You’ll manage the operations team in the market and coordinate with other departments and third party providers to make our operations more efficient. Foster strong collaboration within local teams, central team and external partners to ensure seamless collaborations and delivery of projects and KPIs

• Project Management: Identify and work closely with other teams in order to resolve the most challenging issues in country operations. Manage local projects so they align with country and HQ requirements.

• General Manager support. Support country manager in driving analysis and decision making for complex financial decisions.

About you

• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Project Management, Operations Management, or a closely related field.

• You have over 3 years of proven experience in financial, operations, consultancy, business development, or analytics.

• You are an exceptional analytical thinker with a passion for solving complex problems and deriving insights from large datasets; advanced data analysis skills are essential.

• You demonstrate ownership and initiative, proactively identifying opportunities and implementing effective solutions to business challenges.

• You thrive in a matrix environment, driving cross-functional collaboration with outstanding organizational, planning, and project management capabilities.

• You have superior written and verbal communication skills in English, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and effectively.
