We are seeking a Structural Designer to support our staff in Boston, MA for work across the country from Maine to California, including Puerto Rico and Hawaii. As a specialty group within Vanderweil, our work complements the Power Group, and the Transmission and Distribution groups and supports other vertical markets inside the company for special assignments. Some of your Responsibilities include: Create 3D technical models using AutoCad and Revit for construction documents. Coordination of multi-discipline Revit models. Will create and modify technical drawings and schematics from engineer markups using Revit and AutoCAD. Creative interaction with various engineers and designers. Update drawings and models as project requirements change or based on feedback. Essential Skills and Requirements: Associate’s degree in civil engineering, drafting or related experience Must have the ability to create and modify technical drawings and specifications. 3+ years of professional experience with increasing levels of responsibility in the structural analysis and design of structures. Knowledge of structural design techniques, tools, and principles related to the production of technical plans, drawings, and models. The total compensation that we expect to pay for this position is dependent on years of experience, licensure, education, geographic location, and project portfolio but is expected to be in the $ 75,000 to $90,000 range.
