What You'll Do As a Structural Engineer, you'll support projects from concept through implementation, providing engineering expertise for both new construction and existing facility modifications. Responsibilities include: Perform structural design and analysis for steel and concrete structures Design foundations, equipment supports, pipe supports, platforms, and related structural systems Conduct static, dynamic, seismic, and load combination analyses Evaluate existing structures and develop retrofit or strengthening solutions Perform structural assessments and support facility upgrades and modifications Develop engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and design documentation Apply industry design standards and codes, including AISC, ACI, and ASCE requirements Utilize structural analysis software to support engineering evaluations and design decisions Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver successful project outcomes Communicate engineering findings and solutions to project stakeholders and clients What We're Looking For Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an accredited university 4+ years of structural engineering experience within power generation, utilities, renewable energy, industrial, manufacturing, transmission & distribution, or related infrastructure environments Strong experience designing and analyzing steel and concrete structures Experience performing structural calculations, load evaluations, and engineering analysis Working knowledge of AISC, ACI, and ASCE design standards Experience using structural analysis software such as ANSYS, GTSTRUDL, STAAD, RISA, SAP2000, or similar tools Experience evaluating, modifying, or retrofitting existing structures and facilities Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within collaborative engineering teams Ability to independently manage engineering assignments in a remote environment Ideal Candidate You're someone who: Enjoys solving complex technical challenges Thrives in a collaborative engineering environment Wants exposure to large-scale infrastructure and utility projects Takes pride in delivering high-quality engineering solutions Is looking for a long-term opportunity with strong growth potential Values flexibility without sacrificing technical depth and career advancement Location: Fully Remote (U.S.) Experience Level: Mid-Level to Senior-Level Structural Engineer Industry: Power, Utilities, Renewable Energy, Industrial & Infrastructure Ready to work on projects that matter while enjoying the flexibility of a fully remote career? We'd love to hear from you. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Naperville, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $68.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
