Location: Remote, for students based in Germany
Duration: 8 weeks engagement, part-time alongside your studies
Working language: English (German is a plus)
Altaïr Strategy is a student-led consultancy that began at Bocconi University. We help early-stage companies and startups answer the questions that decide their next year: where to expand, who their first customers should be, and how to focus with a small budget. We work on market entry, marketing and strategy, always for real clients.
You would join a small project team for 8 weeks on a live client engagement. From the first week you would work on the analysis itself, and you would speak directly with the founders. You would follow the project from the opening briefing to the final recommendation.
For Germany: we are looking for students at universities and business schools across Germany, ideally with an interest in the German and wider European startup scene. The work is remote, and team meetings are held online.
What you would work on- Researching markets, customers and competitors for young companies
- Supporting market entry, marketing and strategy recommendations
- Turning open questions into hypotheses, testing them and drawing clear conclusions
- Taking part in client calls and presenting part of the final work
- Meeting the team regularly and acting on feedback
- Practical insight into how a consulting project runs, with direct client contact
- Regular feedback on your analysis, structure and communication
- A letter of recommendation after successful completion
- A route to becoming Project Manager at Altaïr Strategy if your work supports it
- Students currently enrolled at a leading university or business school in Europe
- Strong written and spoken English
- No experience required, but case competitions, student societies, internships or your own projects are welcome
Alongside your CV, we look for:
- Autonomy: you move work forward without being asked twice
- Problem-solving: you enjoy structuring an unclear question
- Entrepreneurial curiosity: you want to understand how young companies grow
- Ambition: you want to learn quickly and take on more
- Initiative: you contribute ideas and help the team move ahead
This is a voluntary learning project. It is not an internship, it is unpaid and it does not involve an employment contract. It is designed to fit alongside your studies, with a workload set to stay manageable around your academic commitments.
Apply with your CV through LinkedIn Easy Apply. After a CV review, selected candidates are invited to a 45-minute interview with the founders, with a motivation part and a technical part. We will share the format with those invited.
