Position Summary/Job Duties: |
The Wisconsin Reading Center (WRC) is within the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. Its mission is to evaluate ocular images for the presence and severity of ocular diseases. This position will primarily perform tasks associated with preparing digital ocular (eye) scans to be suitable for evaluation by Image Evaluators. All necessary training will be provided. These tasks include converting scan format in software followed by running the software algorithm to segment (draw automated lines) the scans. The student will review the automated lines and make corrections when necessary. In addition, this role may be assigned to tracking and entry of image data, and data quality evaluations The incumbent will be expected to complete the tasks independently and in a timely manner. |
