This position has an end date of November 12, 2027. Location - This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person. Work primarily takes place at North Campus, Edmonton. The Student Recruitment unit within the Office of the Registrar supports undergraduate and graduate student recruitment for the university, which includes College and Faculty level recruitment specialty areas, as well as generalist, Transfer, and campus recruitment teams. There are 6 unique teams that make up the Student Recruitment unit. Are you a motivated, knowledgeable, collaborative, and strategy-focused Student Recruitment professional who loves to work in a dynamic and complex environment? We are seeking to fill a Student Recruitment Service Partner position to support the student recruitment needs of faculties and programs within the College of Natural and Applied Sciences, which include Engineering, Science, and Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences. The Student Recruitment Service Partner is a service-minded professional who will work collaboratively with key faculty partners to develop prospective student recruitment strategies and tactical plans that will effectively support the recruitment and diverse enrolment objectives of the College. The Student Recruitment Service Partner will also collaborate with other leadership and staff positions within Student Recruitment to harmonize and align tactical faculty-level plans with the coordinated recruitment strategy. They will lead an action team of 3 Student Recruiters dedicated to the College to organize, deliver, and evaluate in-person and virtual recruitment events, presentations, yield activities, prospective student communications, and prospective advising for incoming undergraduate students. Provide professional, informed and creative advice to the Student Recruitment Director and Assistant Registrar, key faculty/program contacts, and other College-level leadership positions with respect to appropriate recruitment strategies, tactics, and messaging. Develops and evaluates faculty-specific recruitment plans and tactics in support of the institutional direction and in collaboration with institutional recruitment efforts; ensures that strategies and plans support the Access, Community and Belonging objectives of each faculty within the College and of the university. Acts as part of an integrated team of service partners and staff who support enrolment management within the Office of the Registrar and coordinates approaches in support the enrolment objectives of faculties, and the institution; ensures the University meets its overarching and targeted student recruitment goals. Cultivates and enhances relationships with students, parents, alumni, secondary and post-secondary institutions. Advise on key factors impacting student recruitment, including identifying opportunities and risks and advising on strategies to manage these risks. Provides content expertise and works with communications and Recruitment Marketing supports to develop, implement, and maintain recruitment presentations, publications, marketing and promotional initiatives for the college, as well as coordination of social media promotions and other initiatives. Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with your fellow Student Recruitment Service Partners and leaders within Student Recruitment, as well as International Recruitment, Indigenous Enrolment Management, Enrolment Management Service Partners and more. Develops and leads training on each faculty within the College and associated programs for recruitment staff within Student Recruitment. Ensures training documents are up-to-date and relevant to promoting the College or client group for recruitment purposes, such as training manuals, knowledge base articles, and other training resources. Leads the division of work and assignment of tasks with Student Recruiters supporting this College. Allocate and monitor assigned resources and budgets effectively to achieve expected results. A Bachelor’s degree. A passion for student recruitment, service excellence, an inherent drive to add value, and a deep rooted belief that our collective purpose is to serve the University of Alberta, its prospective students, and their influencers. An understanding of prospective student recruitment best practice and experience in the field of student recruitment. A drive to meet and exceed goals, embrace challenges, foster engagement and ensure key priorities are set with a proactive plan to deliver. Superb presentation and written communication skills that influences and inspires prospective students, their influencers, and builds trust-based relationships with colleagues and partners. Ability to develop and maintain high levels of trust and credibility, act with integrity and tact, and demonstrate respect and empathy. Evolved problem solving and critical thinking skills to analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, assess consequences of proposed actions, choose the most appropriate solution and implement successfully. Ability to foster a cooperative work environment, manage diversity, manage change, and establish and maintain effective working relationships. The capacity and flexibility to excel within a challenging and fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities, deadlines and deliverables. Understanding of Access, Community and Belonging. Familiarity with Alberta K-12, Campus Alberta, and all other secondary and post-secondary education systems in Canada. A valid non-GDL Class 5 driver’s license is strongly preferred.
